On about 90% of the passes I've given up this season, my cb has jumped the pass, but then the ball just goes right through him. Here are some examples from our last scrimmage:

Does anyone have any idea what is going on? He's reading the play and getting a jump on the ball, but then it just goes through him. I have jumping soft capped, so I don't think I could be getting out-jumped.

Jumping was my first guess, but if you have it softcapped I don't really know. Maybe you're set on aggressive coverage and you miss the ball going for the INT?

Or maybe he just has higher jumping and you are getting out-jumped. I guess either scenario might work.

what's your catching. It does look like you have it set to go for int's aggressive. maybe your catching is too low?

You are not going to make every single play...that sort of thing will happen to any CB.

Also, you're assuming the replay is showing an accurate representation of what really happens in the play. By now, everyone should know that the replays are often far from accurate in their depictions.

I'm playing on medium, so that can't be it. My catching is at 32. I realize that I won't make every play, the reason it bothers me is that it happens so often and is pretty much the only play I get beat on. If it was me getting beat on a fake or getting outrun, I'd understand, but here it looks like I'm doing everything as I should be, but the ball is flying right past me.

Hmmm, kind off odd. What is your Swat Ball at?

5, so is shutdown coverage. That's what I'm leaning towards it being right now, but I'm hesitant to put points there that could be used elsewhere if I'm not pretty sure it is the reason this is happening.

do you have any Adv Equip with % to intercept? my cb does and he seems to try and jump passes every once in while, you could be possibly trying to do the same but missing the ball

and you dont really know where hands are at the time the ball passes you. Maybe you went for it but completely missed the ball

i've had that same thing happen with my corner a few times as well..

We'll see what happens with Bort's medium coverage fix.
