I am thinking of retiring my lvl 31 SS. I think I put too many points into STR and Tackling and not enough in Agility/Jump/Catching. I also shouldn't have put points into the hard hitter tree. I feel I am behind most SS at my level.

I would like some honest advice if I should just scrap him or keep working on correcting my early mistakes. I am not in love with him so it wouldn't hurt my feelings to retire him. If you were an owner, would you want to sign him, and if not why?

Thanks in advance for your input.

hard to tell from your scouting numbers... need to open your build... but your scouting numbers alone tell a not so good story... their is a chance it could be fixed... but we would need to see your build

Bah sorry for not having the build open. I had it set to everyone can view in another tab but didn't hit that pesky update button.

Looks fine to me, you probably want more vision/agility/jumping/confidence, and not necessarily in that order. As long as you're not in a defense that plays a massive amount of Cover 2 it's not a horrific build. I'd really think of confidence and jumping pretty soon though, those are your two glaring weaknesses.

I'd sign him and tell him to put every single skill point in agility and vision, while training intense jumping + catching. By lv. 40, he'd be o.k.

I think his agility's fine, vision's a bit lower than you'd like, but jumping and confidence are way too low. You want like 25-30 confidence at the very least, especially on an SS that's expected to make lots of tackles, and 15 jumping gets you victimized by almost any sort of pass your way.

I guess if you're looking at it really long term, like level 40 before you can stop being victimized, you can softcap vision and agility to 60 and just bite the bullet with missed tackles and failed jump balls... if you want to be solid ASAP those two stats are high enough to be more than functional. One of the top FS (I know you're not a FS) in USA Pro for a while had 100 speed and like 50 agility/vision.

Get all of your equipment into speed. If speed isn't up to at least 68 unequipped you need to get it there ASAP. If you can still spend 4 points to raise one in speed then do it.

Your build isn't bad, not great but no bad. Speed, agility, and vision, are key. Super Vision works very well.

You need more vision and agility.

Work one attribute up at a time, whether it is an SA or a base attribute and see if you see a differnce, which I think you will.

I would say agility and confidence are the stats you need to work on. Im not a speedster though so it really depends on what you want to go for.

Get him more vision And he could be a pretty solid run stuffing type of SS imo.

Id sign him and tell him to bump strength to the first soft cap and then put every point into jumping and confidence till 25 or so. Then re-evaluate.
