While we (the Looters) have come out ahead a few more times, every game was a Great Game that could have gone either way.
Game 1) 21-17 LA, after SA scored a TD and down 4 points LA takes the next possesion and gets 3 1st downs to end the game. (After 0-5 start for the Looters and after a HUGE 9-6 win over Bridge City this game was our 2nd win ever and allowed us to win the next 4 games (6 game win streak helps fan support) and helped us make the playoffs, a loss here and we finish 8-8 and dont make the playoffs, we have won 9 games every year and made the playoffs every year)
Game 2) 10-7 SA, 1st Game of Year, Game ends in 7-7 Tie so we head to OT, The Heat throw a Pick and then force a HUGE 3 and Out, then get the ball back with 10:14 left in OT, after a 16 Play, 7:51 Minute Drive kick the Game Winning FG in OT.
Game 3) 24-21 LA, LA was 8-6 and SA was 10-4, Huge game for LA to make the playoffs and we jumped out to a 24-7 lead. SA comes back and makes it a 24-21 game with 4:35 left in the game. With 1:52 left and LA driving Joe Throwback throws a pick at the SA 27. SA drives down to the Looters 30 and attempts a Game Tieing FG from 47 yards and Missed.
Game 4) LA 37-34, LA was 8-3, SA was 7-4. Maybe (IMO at least) the best 4th quarter. Going into the final period the score was 24-20 LA. Heats 1st Possesion TD, 27-24 SA. Looters 1st possesion TD, 31-27 LA. Heats 2nd Possesion TD, 34-31 SA. Looters 2nd Possesion FG with 0:49 Seconds, 34-34 Tie. In OT, after stoppping the Heats drive at our 42, The Looters drive down to the Heats 2 and kick the game winning FG.
Even though the Looters are 3-1 vs San Antonio, we have scored 89 Points and the Heat have scored 82 Points. 2 of the 4 have gone into OT both going 1-1.
IMO aside for the fourm chatter, on the Field IMO this is the best Rivalry, at least in terms of Competitivness and placement in playoffs.
I could be wrong. But I would like to see other rivalries and thier games played vs Each Other.
