It seems like a lot of offensive lineman are turning to higher speed/agility to match up with what d lineman are doing. Has anyone with high str used power or combo rushing effectively?

Haven't really seen the bull rush work. MY DT has just under 100 in strenght and he doesn't blow people up at the line.

I stopped bull rushing when my DT with 95+ strength and 11 levels of Strong Base went up against an LG who was 7 levels lower and had an open build featuring his 78 strength with zero SA's. I had 1 tackle and no sacks or hurries.

Yeah, if you're strong, go with Combo. If you aren't, go with Evasive. It's kind of like with HBs --- even the Elusive ones ran on Combo because Elusive sucked so bad. It's just the other way around.

There are some advantages to rushing on power with your DTs, but pretty much none for DEs, regardless of build.

What about combo for my DE? I got 45+ strength. I've heard mixed results for Combo with DE's Antininja says it's useless but then I heard a few people say it works if you have the right amount of strength.

Well, regardless of whether combo is effective for powerful ends, 45 is not the right amount

If you want sacks for your DT, then rush on elusive or maybe combo. If your team blitzes LBs or has a great pass rushing DE and you have high strength, then you can stay on power because it opens up better lanes for other players and doesn't put you in same path as the DE which elusive will sometimes do.

That's what I've been doing. I'm sacrificing stats for the team. I'd love to get sacks but I like wins better.

No it's not hence the + by the 45... heck I might even have 50+.

Rushing on power for the DT/NT is useful if you want to stay in your lane... helps against mobile QBs

But if you want sacks combo/Elusive gets you past the linemen easier

powerful ends are 70+ strength.

That should read 85+, but with GLB today 70+ is pretty strong for a DE.

Yup. Even NTs are thinking twice about how much (more) to invest in strength, relative to agility, SAs, etc. Seems counter-intuitive to me, but that's the game...

... for at least the next day or so, at least.
