Done. Good luck in your team's Game 5, folks.

1. Boston Nighthawks (4-0)
Defeated Detroit Demon Lions 35-17
Ranking: Unchanged (previous: 1)
Low scores on the artistic, but good marks on the technical as Boston bullies its way through Detroit to stay undefeated. Apparently Bort's recent tweak against power rushers hasn't kept the Nighthawks and Hurricane Warriors of the world from triumph.
Highlight play: http://goallineblitz.com/game/replay.pl?game_id=210340&pbp_id=3510421
Boston LB Rocky D'Ogre turns Detroit away half a yard from the goal line with a nice pick and long return.

2. Washington Bullets (4-0)
Defeated Rhode Island Red Wolves 24-16
Ranking: +1 (previous: 3)
Washington was outgained 326 yard to 264 yards in this game but stopped Rhode Island when they needed to. Still, long field goals by the Red Wolves kept them in this contest all day, and one has to wonder if the second-place Bullets will remain silver for very long.
Highlight play: http://goallineblitz.com/game/replay.pl?game_id=210291&pbp_id=3520304
We've seen this play before. CB Art Monkey again takes care of two cornerbacks, allowing the receiver to set up Washington's insurance TD in the fourth quarter.

3. Detroit Demon Lions (3-1)
Lost to Boston Nighthawks 35-17
Ranking: +1 (previous: 4)
Detroit may have had a shot in this game if they could have forced more fumbles from the Boston RBs. DDL did an excellent job of making Boston QB Roger Rocket a liability (2/12 for 19yd, 0TD, 2INT) but could seem to do little against the vaunted Nighthawks rushers.
Highlight play: http://goallineblitz.com/game/replay.pl?game_id=210340&pbp_id=3509203
William Bonney picks off Boston QB Roger Rocket and returns the ball 35 yards to set up a Detroit passing touchdown on the next play.

4. Cincinnati Shockers (3-1)
Defeated Orlando Pirates 42-21
Ranking: +1 (previous: 5)
The Shockers get right back up on the horse and beat a quality opponent at home versus Orlando, which can't stop the rush like the Washington Bullets can. Next up for the Shockers is Kentucky, which should provide impetus for some interesting strategy on both sides.
Highlight play: http://goallineblitz.com/game/replay.pl?game_id=210314&pbp_id=3511516
This pass, Young to Moreno for 89 yards, breaks the game open for Cincinnati.

5. Philadelphia Pushovers (3-1)
Defeated Doomsday Sin 41-23
Ranking: +3 (previous: 8)
My money wouldn't have been on the Pushovers, which is one compelling reason I don't gamble. Lots of good defense in this one, including some heavy pressure on the Doomsday quarterbacks who finished being hurried eight times, sacked four times and intercepted twice. See below.
Highlight play of the week: http://goallineblitz.com/game/replay.pl?game_id=210264&pbp_id=3518448
Pooh Bear not only loves honey, he also loves returning an interception for 109 yards and a score. Wow.

6. Doomsday Sin (3-1)
Lost to Philadelphia Pushovers 41-23
Ranking: -2 (previous: 4)
The Sin are still a strong playoff contender, but this had to be severely disappointing. Doomsday simply couldn't handle the pressure that the senior Philadelphia team exerted, and the Sin were also held to 2.7 yards per rush, which isn't going to win too many ballgames.
Highlight play: http://goallineblitz.com/game/replay.pl?game_id=210264&pbp_id=3516811
Doomsday drew first blood in the game of dueling pick sixes. Tyson Cleaves takes the dog for a short walk into the end zone.

7. Orlando Pirates (2-2)
Lost to Cincinnati Shockers 42-21
Ranking: -1 (previous: 6)
Costly turnovers are the story here. Orlando Pirates RB Rabid Hellion, who has been superb in the last couple of games, was held to less than 60 yards and committed a fumble which led to an Orlando touchdown.
Highlight play: http://goallineblitz.com/game/replay.pl?game_id=210314&pbp_id=3509869
Under pressure, Orlando QB John Utah completes this to Dr. Tran for a touchdown to keep this game within reach.

8. Green Bay Maulers (2-2)
Defeated Chicago Mustangs 47-26
Ranking: +1 (previous: 9)
Another solid win by Green Bay, a team whose playoff chances I like. The Maulers put the Mustangs away with pressure on much-maligned Chicago QB Andrew Vick plus solid rushing and outstanding special teams play.
Highlight play: http://goallineblitz.com/game/replay.pl?game_id=210249&pbp_id=3510209
KR Tevin Hester almost houses this kickoff with 1:19 left in the second quarter. The Maulers would go on to score twice before halftime due to a Matt Anderson pass and subsequent special teams fumble recovery with touchdown.

9. Gridiron Rage (2-2)
Defeated D.C. Warpath 66-21
Ranking: +1 (previous: 10)
There was some sloppiness against D.C., but the Rage pile up tons of offensive yards to seal the deal against the Warpath. Peter Gallo had another fine day, completing 24 out of 39 for over 450 yards and five touchdowns.
Highlight play: http://goallineblitz.com/game/replay.pl?game_id=210278&pbp_id=3508757
HAL 9000 heads to the outside after breaking a couple tackles and after that, it's off to the races.

10. Rhode Island Red Wolves (1-3)
Lost to Washington Bullets 24-16
Ranking: +2 (previous: 12)
No coach believes in such a thing as a "good loss", but the Red Wolves gained a great deal of respect by playing the Bullets close. Rhode Island's gameplan here was nearly perfect, and somewhere Detroit and Monmouth should be taking notes: if the opposing team is going to run all day on you, rock them and rock them again until something drops.
Highlight play: http://goallineblitz.com/game/replay.pl?game_id=210291&pbp_id=3516090
The Gazpacho shows the rest of the league what one does against a run-heavy team.

11. Chicago Mustangs (1-3)
Lost to Green Bay Maulers 47-26
Ranking: -3 (previous: 8)
Chicago gave up far too many long passes in this one: they just couldn't seem to stop the Green Bay WRs. For that matter, the Mustangs never even forced a punt by the Maulers. This team looks ill-equipped to win too many track-meet games.
Highlight play: http://goallineblitz.com/game/replay.pl?game_id=210249&pbp_id=3512237
DeAngelo Jennings not only saves a touchdown but makes his own with a 92 yard pick six.

12. Philadelphia Continentals (1-3)
Defeated Kentucky Madcats 49-30
Ranking: +2 (previous: 14)
The Continentals did what they needed to do against Kentucky, scoring 21 second-quarter points on their way to claim their first USA Pro victory. Special teams ace Tim Abel returned a kick return fumble for a TD with 28 seconds to go in the first half to break the back of the Madcats.
Highlight play: http://goallineblitz.com/game/replay.pl?game_id=210303&pbp_id=3520210
On the previous play, with no timeouts left and only 35 seconds left on the clock, Philadelphia QB Lex Arthur takes advantage of the huge hole between the hash marks and runs it in himself for six.

13. Kalamazoo Coyotes (1-3)
Defeated Camden Outkasts 69-0
Ranking: +2 (previous: 15)
K-Zoo gets good pressure from Goliath Jones and humbles a team which is surely destined for relegation.
Highlight play: http://goallineblitz.com/game/replay.pl?game_id=210346&pbp_id=3516049
Pressure from Jones, interception by Cromartie Sanders and the rout is on.

14. Kentucky Madcats (1-3)
Lost to Philadelphia Continentals 49-30
Ranking: -2 (previous: 12)
Fresh off a victory, the Madcats suffer a tough loss against a team they probably felt they outclassed. Kentucky started out of the gate well but seemed to get exhausted as the game went to the second half.
Highlight play: http://goallineblitz.com/game/replay.pl?game_id=210303&pbp_id=3517596
Kentucky QB Jon Stark (26 rushes for 115 yards, 3TD, 2FUM) barrels over the stripe to give Kentucky a 24-14 lead with about a minute to go in the first half.

15. D.C. Warpath (1-3)
Lost to Gridiron Rage 66-21
Ranking: -2 (previous: 13)
There weren't a lot of turnovers, but the Warpath rushing attack - while scoring two touchdowns - only generated 1.4 yards per carry. The spectre of relegation beckons.
Highlight play: http://goallineblitz.com/game/replay.pl?game_id=210278&pbp_id=3515207
It's garbage time, but it's still pretty. TE Spenser Strode makes his fantasy owners happy with a long TD reception.

16. Camden Outkasts (0-4)
Lost to Kalamazoo Coyotes 69-0
Ranking: Unchanged (previous: 16)
If you're going to be in USA Pro, at least hand the controls to someone who gives a damn and who can program an AI. This basic settings horseshit is embarrassing to the league.
Highlight play: Why bother looking?

Great write up as always!

One thing about the Pushovers, we started slow because of so many changes this season and we do not run a simple defense like cover 1 or cover 2 all the time that translated well from last season to this one, but we are all very experienced and have a high learning curve, both the GMs setting tactics and the owners adjusting player builds.

One other thing that you will discover about us is that we love teams who want to run run run on us because we matchup very well against them, again both in terms of builds and tactics, and believe me it is not just going to Goalline all the time either, although we don't mind if you think that is all there is to it. Silently we also have been adding some pieces to make our pass defense better as well, like Pooh Bear who you saw make a huge play today. Luckily we have our next game off.

I don't think the Mustangs are even in it this year... were like a gutted team these past 2 seasons.

Meh, I'm not sure why you think the Pushovers aren't a top tier team in this league, but, time will tell, I suppose.

That said, I heartily enjoy these rankings, of course

The Shockers handled you pretty easily (CIN 49, PHI 27) and you barely got by the 1-3 Red Wolves (PHI 23, RHO 17). If the Bullets defeated the Shockers, and they did so fairly easily, that leaves only Boston and DDL to go below the Pushovers.

*shrug* Just can't justify it.

Just please keep in mind that this list is just my opinion, which in the grand scheme of things counts for precisely squat. It's for entertainment and discussion and isn't worth the trouble to get offended about. Be assured I'm not sitting in front of my monitor cackling with glee withholding the coveted "top-tier" designation, which - hell, I don't even know what constitutes "top-tier" anyway.

Hope the Rage prove you wrong as we start fixing up our defensive scheme

No worries. I'm far from offended. I know why we're terrible, I was just wondering what your reasons were.
