Who wants to move up to get beat? The worst thing that happened to the Buddahs was that they got moved up. I would beat they would still be around if they were in AAA competing.

well, look at all the people complaining in the GLB forum that "teams cant sign FA's if they arent in a proleague or in USA". wouldnt relegation be doing the hustlers a favor? what if they had actually won AAA last season, would they still have folded this season?

I guarantee you they would still be a team. Look where nfratami took all his players....AA Africa? Think he's going there for the competition. Nope. Going there to pad stats and win trophies.

well then he's a bitch who didnt want to put in what it takes to compete at the highest level, and it's better to lose him sooner than later.

i was more talking about the partisans and swarm, though. they could have been relegated before the damn season started. instead it's two vicious stat padding games for alpha.

The reason I got rid of the Buddhas was time constraints, if being a bitch means not having time to run a team and manage dozens of people than I guess that is what I am.

I moved my players to AA because that is where all of my other players were, on a team that me and a friend built last season and then got promoted. We are far from being in a situation that will pad stats. My player consolidation coincides directly with my ability to only be on this game intermittently.

Would the Buddhas be around still if we were in AAA 2? Probably, but only because at that level I wouldn't have to put in any effort to have success, quite honestly my lack of time to manage a team how I would like started previous to season 5 but because of the league we were in and the competition compared to the pros the time wasn't required.

There is truth to this, we were a team competing with teams created 1.5 - 2 seasons before ours. I'm not saying that it isn't possible to compete, but the problem is, what it takes in order to compete isn't something that was appealing to me. The majority of our team was made up of real life friends and their friends (not to mention mostly everyone else had been there since the start). In order to improve fast and compete in the Pros we would have to compromise the real life chemistry of our team(as lame as that sounds). Couple that with my lack of time to put in to the team, I just did not want to continue with the Buddhas.

Many of you in this thread have a good amount of players, I myself have 18 players, all boosters with full custom. You all know that this isn't cheap. The fact is that I spend a good amount of money on this game every season. If I want to sell my team, as a well paying customer, because it makes my gaming experience more enjoyable that doesn't make me a bitch. The real issue is the structure/rules of the game, there needs to be something in place that prevents teams becoming cpus during the middle of the season, or something that moves these teams during the season.

If people complain about not being able to sign players then they are just shitty recruiters. If they had actually won AAA last season that means they would have beaten us. HA!! That wasn't going to happen.(joking)

I also agree with Nfratami about the only way for him to improve his team is to replace the players that have been with him since the beginning. LSP realized that after our second season. The only way we were ever going to compete with ESL's, TBP's, HighLander's, etc. was to move our players to backups and bring in higher Lvl players. Luckly for me my GM's Taint, Outlawz, Flip, Duce didn't mind helping the team. Thanks Guys!! The reality is until season 10 when players start to decline and retire the teams that have been here since the beginning have an advantage. I'm not saying a huge advantage but it there is an advantage. It can be frustrating and when you are putting money and tiime into running a team you have to decide if its worth it. Nfratami decided it wasn't worth it anymore, doesn't make him a bitch.

Nfratami good luck to you in Africa. When your new team gets to the Pros watch out for the Angola Spider Monkeez. We'll be waiting for you.

yeah, the bitch comment was a bit off the cuff, and for that i apologize, mostly cause i'm pissed about the swarm and partisans, but...

you said there should be something preventing teams becoming CPU midseason, but you just sold your team, and why the fuck didnt you sell it in the offseason so you could have gotten relegated? was it really two losses that made you tuck tail and run?

Didn't know if I wanted to sell it during the off season yet, the Buddhas probably would have won a decent amount of games this year, but like I said in my post, I don't really have the time, don't wanna jumble the team up, to compete at the top level which I would be most satisfied with as an owner. I pretty much covered the answer to your question in this thread already.

I think there should be something in place to prevent the cpu teams in midseason, but there isn't. This game is suppose to be fun, hell it better be with the amount we pay, and if there is a legal opportunity in the game for me to increase the fun I'm having, why wouldn't I take it?

As to tiger's point, about the original players having an advantage, I totally agree with this. It is a bit disheartening knowing that for 10 seasons (which could be 500 days total counting preseason, offseason, regular season) that the people who started playing GLB first will have an advantage over anyone else playing the game (as long as they weren't idiots with their builds).

I don't know the stats but I would assume that these players don't make up the majority of people playing this game. Meaning that the bulk of the game is at a disadvantage, and new players to the game will always be at a disadvantage until their 10 season. Basically you pay boost after boost after boost, to be on the top for 1 season, when the people who signed up at the start got to be on top for 10 whole seasons.

I think every time teams are added a new region should be created that is similar to a "server" in other MMORPGs. Everyone creates players on that "server" when it is created so no one has an advantage. Likewise, when you create any player you pick a "server" that they play on.

Instead of D leagues have practice squads for teams, so if you want to create a player in an already established region/server, you would sign on with a human teams practice squad and get groomed and eventually be on their team. This would make injuries somewhat more practical, allowing these players to occasionally fill in due to players being hurt.

I'm not so sure the practice squad thing is ideal, but I def think there is something there with the server/region idea.

Awww stop bitching Alpha bastards!

We need another Zeta team to go CPU so we can wrack up some stats and even out the League Leaders while the season is still young!!

Wow imagine that. A major realignment didn't fix the problem, only made teams that were moved up or 8-8 teams battling for the last playoff spot every year fold. Who would have thought that that would ever happen.

I wish owners would have the decency to sell their teams BEFORE relegation. That would be the considerate thing to do. The partisans thing still pisses me off

I may lack decency because I'm a pretty big asshole in general, but not because I sold a team back after a date that satisfies you.

I'm paying for entertainment and I'm sorry but I'm not going to keep a team for no reason other than to appease the Doug Planks of SE Asia Pro. Have the "decency" not to have some feeling of entitlement that makes you think that another paying customer should do something he doesn't want to for your benefit.
