I would have posted a lot sooner but it's very rare that I get any spare time now. But yes, the team is retiring next season. We just have no time to play the game to the extent we like anymore. Tare and I have been playing games for awhile now and basically we quit when we lose interest in it. Not to saying it's no longer a good game, but the "honeymoon" is over. When I played the first season I was very into the game, spending an unhealthy amount of time looking at the dots. Not just our's but EVERY team's. It was new, fun and exciting. The thrill gradually died down for me as the game went on and for me personally, I know it's time to move on when I no longer need to watch the game RIGHT when it finishes or when I don't search for the game URL before it becomes available. Now I can wait a full 24 hours before watching the game and that tells me I've lost interest. The Asia teams I want to pay back are already paid back or aren't even in existance anymore. The rest of the team pretty much agrees that the game has run its course with us.

What will happen most likely is that we're going to finish out this season, challenging other teams with the remaining flex I have or the team. We'll disband this team and then probably move them to my brother's team in South America A and just have players play out of position, not changing the gameplan ever and win a title there just for kicks. Then that team will get disbanded and I, personally will probably keep around 3-5 players just to see how they'll finish out and it'll hardly cost me any time at all. The other's might do the same.

Along with loss of interest there's going to be a long rant I'll post in suggestions about what I think is wrong with the game and the current direction it's heading. I see a lot of players quitting posting their thoughts, but for some reason they don't post it where it's supposed to go, in suggestions. There it'll be flamed by newbs and veterens alike, but hopefully some people will pay it heed because although my word is definitely not gospel, it comes from years of high level gaming experience. I've personally been nationally ranked in multiple games as has my brother, tare, toooquikk, and nineball. Nick's job is a reseach analysist in the gaming industry as well (hard to believe I know). So we do know what we're talking about, but at the same time, I don't believe the game will fail at all if our words go unheeded. I just believe my suggestions would improve the game for the better. Unfortunately a lot of companies don't do what's best for the game but their pocketbooks, which I can see why they do so too, it's just not ideal for the players.

I wish I had more time to play the game as it is because the addition of playbooks bring in a whole new aspect in the game. The amount of scouting we did in the past would definitely be TONS helpful now, but our team doesn't even have the time to do that anymore. I have an incoming baby and the market has been crazy to all hell so my hands are totally full. I know some of the other guys on the team are in similar situations. We'll still try to finish strong though.

I’ll leave this post off with fun facts about Neo Armstrong Cyclone Jet Armstrong Cannon you might not have known:

1.) Tare hardly speaks any English at all.

2.) One of us thought the game was a soccer game at first, only spoke Portuguese, and I had to use babelfish to communicate with them. He asked why we were playing selfishly and only passed the ball once a play. I have no idea how he thought it was a soccer sim, he’s not too bright. No, it’s not Nick66 lol.

3.) We have two girls in the team.

4.) We haven’t changed our team icon mainly because sulfidas wanted us to change it when we were in SEA AAA#1 and we thought it’d be funny to not change it just to mess with him =P.

5.) Tare and I don’t think People’s Eblow has a secret build. We think it’s pretty ordinary, but we agree it does do well.

6.) This is the first time we have early boosted except for a few rare players. This way you know we’re quitting. We strongly believe boosting late is building your player for the long run and it’s not just because of exp issues (which isn’t even applicable at this level). We think there’s a definitive advantage in boosting late.

7.) We changed gameplan once all last regular season.

8.) We changed in it only once in playoffs.

9.) We believe our secondary is the reason our front 4 does so well.

10.) We have no idea why Sixth Wheel is having a good season.

11.) None of our players have more than 30 catching.

12.) My gameplans in the past for regular season were made with the sole purpose of getting the maximum number of plays that we could. Our players needed the experience. The one stat I always paid attention to on the league leaders was total number of Offensive and Defensive plays.

13.) Blue Pill is the starting running back in our team. You’ll see why this season. The past seasons we played him without real equipment. He had 4 pieces with +1 stamina each before. My plan from the start was to unleash him season 7 season so no one could prepare for him. We think he’s that good and is one the best HB. in the league right now.

14.) Seventh Wheel is sick and had the same plan as blue pill but we moved him to the starting spot since it’s our last season.

That’s it for now. Couldn’t think of any other fun things off the top of my head.

Btw, I don’t think it’s a shame that some teams won’t make it to the playoffs in zeta. I think this is the way it should be. In fact, we need more teams to be regulated so the entire conference is equally as competitive. It makes it that much more fun and each game that much more important. I mean no offense to any of the less capable teams in the conference. I think they’ve done a hell of a lot to keep up, but this game is so unforgiving in that nature. I think it would be best for them to move down so they could be more competitive and I think they would have a lot more fun playing against teams with similar levels. I think Monks, Mash etc, have done respectable to remain up here, but without a ridiculous recruiting drive, it’s hard to keep up. Much respect to those teams that hang on, I just think it’s a hard uphill battle.

Regardless, this looks to be a fun season for zeta and for SEA pro in general. Btw, who are we planning to whup after Oceana?

re: Blue Pill, that is quite a radical idea!

re Oceania, hopefully everyone puts their best foot forward and we gain respect around GLB by beating them. After that, mebbe South America or whomever SEA is hungry for

hah at the Portugese guy and the babelfish.. that is too funny

You guys are one of the classiest teams around, in any region, and the game will take a hit by losing you. However, I can completely respect your reasons. Who knows, maybe in 6 months or so the game will be 'finished' enough to warrant a second look from some of you. And for any NACJAC agents who don't leave in the interim, I hope they find a home here in SEA (ESL in particular )

I hate to see this happen but do understand. Good luck with what you guys do. I know we are not in the pro's, but had fun getting our butts handed to us by you guys in the SEA AAA#1. You guys are a class act. Have fun and god bless.

I'll hire the strippers... (who will be pre-screened by doctors after the incident last time)
