I've been trying to figure out who is the best team in the west, and well i cant. Its just too close to pick a winner or a clear favorite. But i can breakdown the best of each aspect of the game.
Rushing Offense: ORLY Owls- They have the best back in the leauge. Look for Shanahan to lead the conference in rushing yards this season
Passing Offense: Chattanooga Quarentine- Bo Rob has been a great target for Palmer. They connnected for 28 TD's last season. Though there are alot of CPU peaking on this team so commitment is questionable. Everyone else is about tied before the season
Rush Defense: Carolina Bars Stars/Oakyville Nungas Each team has a solid rush D, but nothing dominate. Rush D looks to be the weak spot of the West.
Pass Defense: Orly Owls- I look for them to have the best Pass D here in the PreSeason. Bar Stars arent far behind them, if at all. Same with Oakyville. Good pass D can come when the QB doesnt get to throw.
So after doing this breakdown, it helps and it hurts me. ORLY strenght is rushing, and the West weakness is stopping the run. So they look like they should dominate. As they found out last year, if you have a great pass rusher, you can get to the QB. Robert Kelly had 4 sacks and 3 hurries durning the regular season meeting last year. Nikka Barna had 14 sacks durning the playoffs.
I've come to the conclusion there is no favorite, they is no way i could rank ORLY, OAKYVILLE, or CAROLINA #1. They are just too even, and have teams that have thier number. The draw in the playoffs are going to be ever so important this year.
