How important is it? I've heard some people say that you're fine with as little as 20 points in it and others who have said you need to softcap it.

yeah, at least softcap it... once you get it softcapped, it should be good for a while... start working on it once you get confidence and strength to about the 2nd cap

I do too. But it doesn't appear to have much affect on coffin corners as my punter is doing a fantastic job of them and his vision has only been trained to 27.31. And I've seen good punters with vision under 30.
