Welcome all. The Barstars can empathize with the gutting. We took over a gutted team in USA AA in season two and had to come down here the hard way, via a 32 game losing streak. But we held together and eventually pulled in some good agents and players and now we are a fairly good team. So don't give up guys. You can climb the ladder quickly down here and be comeptitive in no time. The Bar Stars send a round out to all our new BBB 14 drinking buddies!

Yea I feel ya on the 'gutted' factor... when I acquired the Assassins last year we had just 1 angry player left on the team... was an interesting week or two getting the roster together.

The fun part of being an owner of a gutted team is watching players turn you down for contracts and sign a HUGE deal with a team that ends up going CPU.
Had 4 players from last year that I offered fair deals that I noticed their teams went CPU.

My team was gutted at the middle end of season 2 and finished 1-15 when I took over in season 3 my first year as owner. We had zero stadium upgrades done as well.If you are patient good things will come.
Rome wasn't built in a day and neither are championships.
Concentrate on getting your stadium upgraded and getting players that boost and will sign at least 2 year deals to keep costs down.
IF your stadium can't afford high level players don't sign them.
1-15, 9-7, 11-5 my teams record the last 3 seasons. Turnaround is possible. Plus with promotion and demotion of good an bad teams you will move up the totem pole eventually.

We actually have a thread on our team forum tracking former team-mates and what they left us for. Needless to say, we haven't found one yet that has turned their leaving of our team, affiliation, and program into a rousing success. Most end up in much worse situations.
So my moral is for typical advice for agents. If you are on a rebuilding team and the owner seems to know what the hell he's doing, stick with it. It may take a season or two but consistency and longevity breeds sucess, especially at the BBB level. We got run out of A ball three seasons ago without winning a game and have almost the exact same team as then. We could probably go up there now and be at least a .500 team and compete for a playoff spot.

heres to that! I am now a 2 seasoned experience owner of a BBB #14 team (THE DRUNKEN SKULLS!) and the turnover in the last two years was tough. But we're making huge strides in retaining players and making a committed team.
I hope the new teams find BBB #14 to be a very fun league to have a team in, great rivalries and ownership.
