As usual I took a snapshot of all Alpha rosters on the last day of season 5, not too far before rollover, so these numbers should be fairly accurate and no season 6 boosts have been used yet. Some last minute season 5 boosts took place though

34,83 Woodridge Lumberjacks; 41 players; median 35
34,17 E-City Mercenaries; 47 players; median 35
34,16 Wembley Warriors; 43 players; median 34
34,1 Aberdeen Wrecking Crew; 42 players; median 35
33,8 Fightin' Texas Aggies; 49 players; median 35
33,48 Stuttgart Nighthawks; 42 players; median 34
33,35 London Minotaurs; 49 players; median 33
33,35 London Monarchs; 49 players; median 34
33,35 Chicago Rocks; 46 players; median 33
33,33 Toledo Swords; 36 players; median 34
33,2 Black Watch; 49 players; median 33
33,19 Berlin Blitzkrieg; 53 players; median 34
32,83 Lake Charles Who Dats; 46 players; median 34
32,47 Paris Philharmonic; 45 players; median 33
31,88 Dinas Mawddwy Red Bandits; 43 players; median 33
31,02 Carthage Army of Darkness; 43 players; median 32

Quite a few surprises in there Of course average level is not the be all end all, as Paris last season or Valhalla before have regularly proven, but I still think it is interesting to look at what teams might have to plan a bit harder.

Once again a lot of stability for most teams as well, very few have taken significant chemistry hits. Some clearly are not done recruiting and building their roster yet, but this is what things looked like on hte eve of the new season.

Looks like Carthage would need to do a bit of recruiting or face relegation. Can't say the same for the Bandits and they are a good team, another team that could be demoted is Lake Charles or even Toledo Swords.

Have to say that Toledo and Carthage are my current favourites to be relegated

Early boost results are in, and one team has already boosted more than 50% of their players, while three teams have yet to have a single player boost and will likely do so as a team on one day. Interestingly enough only one team managed to get ahead of Woodridge in average level, even if Woodridge is one of the three teams that has yet to boost anyone.

Very interesting to watch those dynamics and roster movements, looks to me as if most teams are done building already and there will only a few complimentary moves from now on.

good reasons.

Toledo's not done with recruiting. If we're relegated, it will probably be for a more pressing issue. But...like you say...we still need more depth.

The Who Dats' average level has likely jumped considerably since yesterday.

With a bit over 4 hours to go until the games start here is how the Alpha averages look like by now:

36.70 Aberdeen Wrecking Crew; 40 players; median 37
36.57 E-City Mercenaries; 47 players; median 38
36.07 Wembley Warriors; 44 players; median 37
35.98 Fightin' Texas Aggies; 49 players; median 37
35.85 Berlin Blitzkrieg; 53 players; median 36
35.62 London Minotaurs; 52 players; median 36
35.61 Chicago Rocks; 46 players; median 36
35.57 Black Watch; 49 players; median 36
35.48 Stuttgart Nighthawks; 42 players; median 36
35.33 Lake Charles Who Dats; 45 players; median 37
35.18 Woodridge Lumberjacks; 40 players; median 36
34.51 Dinas Mawddwy Red Bandits; 43 players; median 36
34.40 Toledo Swords; 40 players; median 35
34.04 London Monarchs; 50 players; median 35
34.02 Paris Philharmonic; 46 players; median 34
32.64 Carthage Army of Darkness; 42 players; median 33

Most teams have already boosted a good percentage of their players, only two teams had less than 50% of their roster boost so far, with the Lumberjacks bringing up the rear with just 12.5% of their players having already boosted. Maybe they will have a boost party when they gather to watch the game?

Reigning Champion Paris is somewhat peculiar as well, although roughly 70% of their players already boosted most of them only did for 2 levels so far, seems they want to keep something in store to surprise people later on.

Of course we all know average level does not mean too much when it comes to being successful, see Valhalla and then Paris as examples in the past, but it might give an indication as to which teams might have to rely on better builds or better game plans to succeed this season.

I must say it feels positively weird to see the Mercenaries near the top of this list, I think we've never been in the top half before

If I look at those rosters and had to pick a few established teams that might struggle this season I'd probably go with Lake Charles, who in the past could always rely on a level advantage against most opponents, and Carthage and Toledo, both teams who might have to rely on a few players that might be badly outmatched by most opposing players they will face.

Interesting...

3rd lowest Avg in the Conference on Day one is a little worrying, but nothing new to us.

We always wait til around game 3-5 to boost fully anyway, just to see what happens with the sim changes.

Mercs are now traitors to the cause

Used to be the only team we could bully by levels!

London Monarchs also have the third biggest depth anyways, and the two teams above them don't exactly have impressive depth as well.
Would be interested to see how many players each team has subtracting inactives
