OL blocking technique improving isn't really a DE nerf, although it might have that effect.

I really wish Bort would nerf no strength DEs tbh. My build is sustainable, you could actually justify a real DE built this way. He's not going anywhere. But some guys are building them now with 0 strength at all. That's ridiculous imo

Yea, I see those all the time now. DEs with 60+ speed and agility, and 20 strength. At that low of strength, all the OL should have to do is get a hand on him to make him fall over. I'm surprised some teams weren't using their fastest CBs at the DE spot.

I don't understand why he added the elusive tactic to make DEs better, only to go and make another change to make them not as good later.

Well, elusive DEs were not being very elusive. Their AI was garbage.
Now they're overpowered because of a flaw in how OTs handle an elusive DE, so that must be fixed.

He's going for realism and balance. DEs should not be cranking 50+ sacks a season.

Oh, I agree. It just kinda sucks that we build players based on a set of knowledge, only to have it changed. It is a beta game, and those things happen. But I've also never paid money for a beta game, so I'd at least appreciate a one time reallocation of my SPs when they get their shit together.
