Just wondering what everyone thought about this as an initial roll?

Spent 20 min. trying to get all 8's in Throwing,Catching,Carrying,Punting,Kicking. I figured all 8's and 1 9 wasn't too bad, just wondering what everyone else thought. Should I go back and continue rolling until I get all 8's or keep what I have.

you have to open the stats for us to tell you......

but all 8's and 1 9 is certainly good (without knowing the other key skill #s)

pretty solid. maybe 16 to STR and 13 to TKL to go with that 16 in agility would be ideal, but very workable to push STR and agility to the caps first

Put your equipment into stamina to keep you on the field at low levels. when you have get your stam up, then switch it to speed or agility.

Your roll is pretty good, I have seen some 7s before but that is pretty good.

7s were only available before the re-roll option was added. When 7s were available you had to retire the player after every single roll and recreate.

Really, is roll THAT important? I feel like after 15 levels or so, plus training, your player should have enough points spread around that 2-4 useless points won't be bothering you much.

Now of course you want a decent roll, but I don't see the point of rolling for more than 10 minutes or so just to get that one point out of punting.

The importance of the roll depends somewhat on postion and what type of player you want to build. Not only do you need low numbers in the non used stats, you usually want a low number in one of the primary stats. For instance, say you want to have a DT with strength soft capped by level 3. You are looking to start out with 23 or 22 in strength. If you want high agility as well, because you are going to take that to a cap after you are done working on strength, then you not only want as many 8's as possible in the jumping, throwing, catching, carrying, kicking, and punting categories, but you also want a low tackling score as well.

With some positions there are not as many non used stats so the role is not nearly as important.

I have an OT that I created before the re-roll was available. He started out with 6 7's and an 8 in speed. I had about a 2 level jump on many OTs.
