QB has HB MTP set as Favorite 1 with Check downs at Almost Never. All of the 3WR Shotgun plays the Opponent plays a 326 Cover 0 with both LB blitzing. On all plays HB MTP is wide open but he is still totally over looked. Why?

Then I get to this play, where HB Rich Trix ends up getting the pass thrown to him despite not being a Favorite and QB not checking down. Weird!

And then here's a play when HB Rich Trix is wide open but doesn't get the pass.

FYI, HB MTP has good ability to Catch but Rich Trix does not. The QB also has good Vision.

I'm really just curious on how to get the ball to 1 HB in the passing game with out having to pass to all of them which results in a mass amount of drops and short gains.

Does your QB have any points in Dump Pass or on the run? Also my guess is that if you are using AI you are going to need to target that HB in the play or the QB will never throw it to him.

Dump Pass and On the Run would just add to the accuracy of throwing the ball while moving. It doesn't effect who is being thrown too.

I'm really just curious if anyone has been able to "target" a HB in the passing game. It seems like it doesn't matter if my HB is a Favorite Target or not. This would then bring up the issue...

Advanced AI will in a way override tactics like Favorite Target. If you don't have any plays designed to go specifically to the HB, than the QB can't really hit him that often. Try adding in a couple of HB pass plays or turn up Dump Off passes a bit.

Vision helps with checking down, so if you feel your QB isn't hitting the safety valves enough you could have him work on Vision.

But basically, to answer your questions if there aren't any plays designed to go to the HB it doesn't really matter if he is the favorite target or not.
