Public outrage!!!! lol, I respectfully protest! Kid had a monster year, and the more tackles a CB has, the more passes he gave up.

Asafa Powell being left off the list invalidates it. Lets look at who was nominated:

D. Massey (LSL) 124tk, 9mstk, 1sck, 61pd, 11int, 5ff, 6 TD
Do you know why a CB gets 124 tackles? It is because he sucks at coverage and gives up a ton of catches. You are bound to come up with a ton of INTs and other good things if opposing QBs throw at you 90% of the time. It wasn't from run coverage either, look at the games.

B. Mandagi (ISB) 78tk, 2mstk, 0sck, 68pd, 8int, 2ff, 4 TD
Not a bad corner, but he has 0 ff, not 2.

M. Campbell (FRN) 96tk, 2mstk, 3hry, 1sck, 41pd, 9int, 4ff, 4 TD
See D. Massey

L. Law (LaC) 60tk, 2mstk, 0sck, 46pd, 6int, 1ff, 1frec, 4td
Again, not a bad choice for a nomination.

Now, let's look at Asafa:
31 tk, 2mstk, 0hry, 0sck, 22pd, 6int, 0ff, 1 TD

7 of those tackles were covering running plays. He gave up 24 catches all season. That is 1 catch per 31 plays, or 1.5 catches a game. All of his numbers are lower than these other guys, but that is because the opposing QB doesn't throw his way because the receiver is covered. I know it is a novel concept, but a CBs job is to shut down his WR, and Asafa does it better than anyone, even going against the team's #1 receiver most of the time.

Hell, my boy Shylan Matzkanin has better stats than some of those guys:
51tk, 2mstk, 0hry, 0sck, 35pd, 10int, 0ff, 5 TD. How was Law chosen ahead of him?

The lack of Fremont representation in these lists is for the most part because we play a team game, but our secondary is excellent and a lack of representation at CB is laughable.

He had more sacks, more passes defensed, more interceptions, more forced fumbles, and more touchedowns than Asafa. I do not consider tackles in my choices, I just list them because they are there.

Dude, I'm not going to go watch every single replay for every single player to come up with the nominees. Is there a good chance some solid players have been left off because they play on really well balanced teams or because they do awesome things that aren't captured by counting stats? Yes. Am I going to put in even more time than I have to stroke your ego? No.

You can invalidate it if you want, you can protest it if you want, I don't care. I'm spending MY time and MY resources to do this for the league. And I think I've been more than fair (look how many Caps I have chosen). I'm not perfect, and I admit this not the end all be all of all-star ballts.

LOL, don't take things so seriously I am just trying to stir things up, although I think my points are valid. In running backs you would consider 2500 yards on 700 carries worse than 2100 yards on 300 carries. If a CB gets thrown at 500 times there is a good chance of him having more interceptions than the CB who is thrown at 100 times because his man is never open.

Why don't you guys come up with some sort of formula to make the determination?

There was an in depth one posted in Suggestions a while back. I'll see if I can find it.

I know RayRay, just making sure people know I can only do so much lol.

In hindsight... I think the best way we could have done this was for me to have posted the nominations with a one day debate period. Because, I know I have had a couple misses. Luckily, I don't think I've left anyone out that would have won.

Iron Man 2 in 2010 is represented as a returner from Fremont but I must agree that there is a lack of Warriors.

Vote for I. 2010(FRE) 28.8 KR avg, 2 TD; 19.4 PR avg, 15td
