East St Louis Tire Fires left Tackle, Bustyer Chops, is reported as questionable for the first game of this seasons playoffs due to an incident said to be involving six quarts of Crisco, 250 lbs of bacon and a wooden barrel. The exact nature of the injury has yet to be released, but beat reporter and long time polka enthusiast Mia Hamlover was able to speak breifly with Mr. Chops Tuesday, and garnered this statement -
"Coach said we was gonna conquer Niagara, and I just wanted to be prepared. It left a pretty serious rash, I guess you'd call them barrel burns. Aint no way I'm missing a playoff game though. If the Pirates can play with all those rug burns on their knees, I'm not gonna let this stop me."
