Last week of the season tomorrow. Seems like much of alpha is still in disarray, while Zeta is nearly seeded already. Some very interesting developments over the last two games.
1(1) Taiwan Blood Pandas (14-1)- It wasn't a pretty victory, but in a battle of field position, Taiwan came out on top against the Rat's hos. Personally, even though this game lacked the big play, it was still a great game to see as each defense showed up to play. Most surprising fact here was the anemic performance on offense put on by Ho Chi. The Pandas finish out the season against a Pattaya backed into a corner, fighting for its playoff life. The Pandas better come to play, but have already locked in the #1 seed with tiebreakers over NACJAC and Hong Kong. Ending Record: 15-1, #1 seed in Zeta for the playoffs.
2(4) Neo Armstrong Cyclone Jet Armstrong Cannon (13-2)- This team has come on strong at the end of the year just as they did the previous season as they steamrolled through the playoffs on the way to the title. They play a very solid Singapore squad up next, but the game will mean heaps more for Singapore than it will for NACJAC. The worst they will end up is 3rd and host Bangkok in the first round, a rematch of last years Zeta title game. Ending record: 14-2 (tough pick its going to be a close game) #2 seed in Zeta playoffs.
3(5) Hong Kong Highlanders(13-2)- This teams only losses have been to the teams in the #1 and #2 spots. They have a gimme game week 16 against the Tokyo whalers, and will need a NACJAC loss in order to snatch the #2 seed from NACJAC. As I have said all along this is the last team I want to meet in the playoffs. Ending Record: 14-2. #3 seed in Zeta conference.
4(3) Krakatoan Red Warriors (12-3)- A shocking upset at the hands of the Manila Warlords may have exposed a team that looked solid on paper. Krak has probably the game of the week this week against Phuket All, who are still fighting for a home playoff game, much like Krak is. With big things to play for on both teams, this game is shaping up to be the game of the year. I'm sure both teams have had this game circled on their calendars since week 1 and the hour of reckoning is at hand. Good luck to both. Ending Record: 12-4(Phuket wins by a TD) #4 seed in Zeta with Ho Chi getting upset by PSK in a desperation game from PSK.
5(4) Ho Chi Mean Hot Mamas(12-3)- It is this reporters opinion that this team has underachieved the last two weeks, and will look to fend off a PSK team who badly needs a home playoff game. I have to call PSK the victors in a 4 point victory. Ho Chi will still make the playoffs as the #5 seed, and faceoff against their arch-rivals the Krak Red Warriors. Ending Record: 12-4 #5 seed in Zeta.
6(6) Bangkok Tweetys (10-5)- This team only has really one credible win(Manila) and it is hard to see them advancing through a much deeper Zeta conference this year. They are never ones to be counted out of any game and will have their mettle tested in the playoffs early and often. They face a Niagara team this week which is heavily underrated if you ask me. We'll see how Bangkok treats this game knowing they are already in the playoffs with really a choice between NACJAC or Hong Kong awaiting them in round 1.
Ending Record: 10-6 #6 seed in zeta.
7(7) Guangzhou Ducks (9-6)- This team recovered from a disappointing 0-4 start and have the 7th seed in Zeta locked up. I hope they are ready for NACJAC in round one, or they will be watching the champ. game from home again this year. Even though they are only one game ahead of Manila, and head-to-head victory keeps the Ducks in the 7 spot. Not only that but the Ducks cannot lose against the lowly Taiwan Royals in Alpha Ending Record: 10-6 #7 seed in Zeta
8(8) Manila Warlords (8-7)- A very solid win against the Red Warriors has locked up a playoff spot for the newcomers. They will play the other team who moved up to the pro leagues this year in the first round of the playoffs. Can they keep that upset minded mentality going through the playoffs? Ending record: 10-6 #8 seed in Zeta playoffs.
The rest of the teams after untimely losses in week 15 have been elimated from playoff contention. The only thing thats left: The AAA sweepstakes. Peking stampede is moving on. But who will be their way back to AAA accompanying them? A week 16 loss by 4077th M.A.S.H and and week 16 victory by Johor Bahru Beach Bums will save the bums from being relinquished to mediocrity. Unfortunately though, the Bums have drawn the beginning season favorites to win Alpha, Bandar Lampung, and there is no way in a cold hell the beach bums win this game. Please see the stage manager for your consolation prizes on your way to AAA Johor and Peking.
Games of the Week

Alright these somas are starting to kick in and all I can leave you with for the quote of the week is by my friend Nickolai: "I love how Daft Punk turns little girls into whores."
