if you build your linebackers like that. And you are the only one on the team building like that. you will indeed be screwed.

Now i can see having 3 linebackers built like that so they all get to the point of attack, but if you have a quick, weak linebacker, he will get to the point of attack by himself and get plowed over or juked out of his cleats.

That's probably good advice for a L.O.L.B. in low leagues. who mainly cover tight ends.

I can tell by reading that he doesn't have much experience against power backs in aaa or pro with 90 str and 70 speed. and 11 power through.

i hope he stays with his plan to realize later his builds suck.

Oh and looking over his leagues he is in aaa my mistake. but they have gutted teams in them. And when he played a power back that said power back owned him.

I've never seen a 90 str 70 spd back with 11 in power through or anything even close. I'm not worried about players that don't actually exist. The whole power back thing is more imagination than anything else as far as I'm concerned. I've never seen one do much in any league I've ever been in.

This looks good for general advice to OLBs.

But power backs would have a field day against a defense sporting exclusively LBs built like this. You need a generally stronger MLB to watch for those power back runs up the gut.

Not so much. My D features my linebackers starting at LOLB and MLB.

My teams' defenses are incredibly good. My LBs are sick.

Tell me which of these leagues and the power backs in them are abusing my style/theory

Oceania AAA1
Africa AAA1
USA AA2

The funny part about this is that the team I OWN played the team I DC for (which has one of the games most productive power backs) . The power back was shut down. Thats just an example from the past week.

Your teams aren't good. Your LB (just ONE higher level guy) is average AT HIS VERY BEST.

I made the original thread to keep the pretenders away from the people actually seeking help.

And here I thought we'd be making a new thread because the other one got too long...

Sweet I got quoted.

I'd still like to have a hard hitting MLB on my team just for the added kick, especially if we are talking about a 3-4 defense.

Tackling > Strength in terms of bringing down power backs. My LB doesn't miss many tackles and his strength is lower than 30, but his tackling is 45+. That being said, I'm working on soft-capping strength but not because I'm scared of Power Backs.
