One of the 11-1 teams fell this week as Roswell was beaten by the Teabaggers 23-16. Other than that, its been a pretty quiet week, not much movement coming in Power Rankings.

Team of the Week-

Tallahassee Teabaggers- These guys were really the only team with a meaningful win this week. Will have no problem coasting into the playoffs from here on out.

Title Contenders

1. Anchorage Maulers- (0) Interesting game against Roswell Space Pirates coming up. Roswell should keep it close, but Anchorage is just too much right now. The Maulers will also have to take care of a tough Holly Tornados team from the Western Conference. Anyone know if this could affect playoff seeding?

2. Tallahassee Teabaggers- (0) Held Roswell to 74 total yards. They were up 23-0 before Roswell fought back to make it close. I think we can all agree that Warren Slop in the BBB 13 MVP. This guy is on fire… 45 sacks this year? Are you kidding me? I know there are about 20,000 people in GLB that would like to see his build. DAMN!

3. RGB Berzerk- (0) Cruise control from here on out. 100’s in chemistry, only 3 starters that aren’t 30+ and a 35 CB2. Should be a solid team, could definitely upset one of the top 2 teams, but will probably be sitting at a +4 to +7 spread against them.

Could find a way into the conference championship game…

4. Chicago Thunder- (0) Took care of business with a dominating wins over Philly and Springville in the last two weeks. Its another tune-up before a big game against Roswell. Winner gets the 5th seed and avoids Anchorage or Tallahassee in the first round.

5. Roswell Space Pirates- (0) Tough loss to Tallahassee, but it looks like the game was pretty much in hand before Roswell cause a key turnover. The Pirates should keep the games against Anchorage and Chicago close, but I see both teams taking care of business.

Will make the playoffs, but not much further...

6. San Diego Blaze- (0) The Blaze should finish out the season 3-0, but they have a tough game against San Vascarba from the Eastern Conference.

7. Fresno Jaguars-(0) One tune up game before the battle for the 8th seed against Las Vegas. This one shouldn’t be close, but Fresno has shown the propensity to lose games they shouldn’t lose this year. Will have no problem in their non-conference tilt against War Axe.

8. Las Vegas Legends (0) What’s one way to salvage an otherwise disappointing season for Las Vegas? By finishing the season on a 5 game winning streak and locking up the 7th seed with a win over Fresno. On paper it should be a close game and both teams have lost games they weren’t supposed to. This should be a fun game. My early pick? Fresno 24-20.

Planning vacations...

9. Philadelphia Demonik- (+1) Philly beat So. Cal in a scrimmage earlier this season 24-0 after losing big early in the regular season. What have you done for me lately? I’ll move up Philly only because I’ve got to move SOMEBODY. Still a big drop-off in talent from 1-8 to the 9th spot.

10. So.Cal Beach Bums-(0) Close win over Port Moresby, should finish up 7-9, nothing to be ashamed about. They beat who they were supposed to be, lost the games they were supposed to lose.

2+ seasons away…

Not much to say here, so I’m just going to keep the order going.

11. Houston Space Cowboys- (0)
12. Port Moresby Trucks- (0)
13. Springville Renagades- (0)
14. RAVING MAD DAWGS-(0)
15. Scranton Scoring Midgets- (0)
16. Phoenix Resurrection- (0)

With everyone getting ready for playoff season, there are very few interesting games left. I’ll be working on a year-end breakdown over the next couple days, so be looking for that.

Hope you all enjoyed,

Just my two cents…

-Mike

Nice writeup again man. Basically if we don't turn the ball over it'll be tough for us to lose. See RGB game and Roswell game.

Good read Dawgs.

Couple of corrections:
Roswell and Chicago should be battling for the 4th seed and a home playoff game.
The 4th and 5th seed will not be in the Bagger/Maulers bracket.

Fresno/Vegas is battling for the 7th seed which could be a huge difference if either one percieves that Berzerk would be an easier target over getting the Maulers in the first round.

Game of the week...for the next two weeks is Roswell.

I say Maulers 45-10.

Roswell will likely score on us. I'm funding some build adjustments in time for the playoffs so working out a few kinks. Still fancy us to win comfortably though.

Can only give a cryptic comment dawgs. If you can see the common problem you and Roswell have had you'll win. Otherwise it'll be close and a coin toss.

Fine nrs no doubt. But the true sack-master from what I've seen, comes from USA A7, Eastern Conference on a squad called Alpine Golfers. I have a SS there, and we have a DE name of Julius Dee.

(In case it wont open for you not being in the Conf: Mr Dee has 83 sacks thru 13 games.) Attributed not only to his excellent build, but a very sound all around D-Line which keeps opposing O-lines VERY well occupied.

I don't know, Zeke Star has a strong case to win it, over 1000 yards passing over the number 2 guy and 13 more TDs than the number 2 guy, but our team isn't going to the playoffs, yet his numbers are better than the rest of the conference.

And Mr Slop only got 1 sack on him...

64% completion rate, and behind the Charlotte QB from the lEast. He's done well but not that well.

Plus for consideration, how many of those yards have been put up in 4th quarters of blow outs with the teams on cruise control? QBs are hard to judge.

Zeke Star averages like 48 throws a game. of course he has more yards.

I think the league MVP should come from a team with a winning record.

15 Interceptions is way too many to be mentioned in any MVP talks.

Considering the number of times the Demonik throws the ball with one QB you have to ask yourself....why ONLY 4500 yards?

ok by your logic, Slop averages what? 50 plays a game? of course he is going to have alot of sacks...............makes no sense right?

"Oh but how many of those plays are runs...... ect"

We throw the ball 48 times+ a game... and yet Mr Slop had 1 sack, 1. He had more opportunity against weaker level OTs and Gs and didn't take it against us so I'm going by that. I don't think Zeke is MVP material but is def on the list of Heisman candidates

Most of zeke's INTs have come when we've been DOWN in the 4th Q trying to come back so that counters the 'TDs in the 4th in a blowout" argument

I agree, I just don't think it should be slop...

You also have to ask yourself would the teabaggers still be good without Slop and would the Demonik be anywhere close to decent without Zeke?
