my HB has very little strength (21.76) and still gets the job done. He is in a league with 30+ players. He still breaks a decent amount of tackles also. I kno he has 7 fumbles but the starter has 4 fumbles with 50+ strength. Can i live with not putting points in strength.............ever?

I'm planning on softcapping it then leaving it.
What is the carry difference between you and the starter? I know on our team the starter has little strength and fumbles more often than the backup. (#Carries has some to do with it)

Soft capping STR is a waste of points on an elusive back, IMO. Those points would be better spent on actually being elusive - SPD, AGI, and SA's.
If anything, train it to the mid 30's.

Yeah.
Dman = 7 fumbles in 214 carries. Approximately 1 fumble every 30.5 carries.
The Starter has 4 fumbles in 272 carries. 1 fumble every 68 carries.
I think that pretty much says it all.

I think softcapping strength is a MUCH better use of SPs than buying 3,3,3,3,3 in all the Elusive SAs. I see a whole lot of players with SP tied up in SAs that are too low to go off. Strength is passive. SAs are active. There's a huge difference.

That's why you'd prefer 90000 as opposed to 33333...

You're going about it all wrong. Use those points on agility before you even think about SA's. People try to build elusive backs with 50 agility and expect low SA's to be useful. It doesn't work that way.
Wasting your sp's on strength just makes you a jack off all trades and master of none.
Most decent level Linebackers and Defensive linemen will just laugh at your 50 strength while they rape you. A good elusive back has other ways of breaking tackles.

yea but ive only had 2 fumbles in the last 10 games. and that spand was against the cream of the crop in our conference. ive done well without it so far.

So many people tell elusive backs to get their strength to soft cap, this is the worst advice ever. Just because in RL stronger backs to better doesnt mean on GLB that you should do the same. Pure elusive backs shouldnt touch str until they have 70/70 speed/agility.

An "elusive back" with soft capped strength is ultimately a combo back. His SA utilization will suck because he wasted 25 sp's on attributes thare are worthless for elusive SA's.

Just make sure you apply the "combo back" theory to "power backs" with 50+ speed as well. They tend to not like that...
But yes.
That is the point I was trying to make with my 3,3,3,3,3 post.
But, I'd rather have 48 strength than 3 in quick cut (passive) and 19 points tied up in SAs that will never (practically) go off. The other 25 Sp you speak of would only improve the build to 5,4,5,5,4, which is better, but still not really a highly effective SA distribution.
As an elusive back, I tried to design my player to be faster than the D line and LBs and then stronger than the CBs. I'll take a dice roll against the safeties any day of the week. Even if they get me 9 out of 10, thats 1-3 touchdowns per game I should score.
EDIT: For the record...
Strength: 49.53
Speed: 74.19
Agility: 70.19
