1(1) - East St. Louis Tire Fires(11-1) - Handled business by beatings Pattaya. Only way they don't finish in first is if they drop two of the last four vs the Gothic, Gamblers, Jeanhorns and Red Robins. I don't see that happening with the way Beav Nizzle has been running lately.
Next game at Chaiyaphum Gothic - ESL only needs to beat the teams they should now to clinch and I expect them to do just that
2(3) - Bandar Lampung Pigskin Pirates(10-2) - Forget about Bangkok showing up, Bandar completely dismantled the newly boosted Seamen beating them in all phases. The Pirates are the front runners for the second seed now, and as long as they can get by either Pattaya or Queensland, it should be theres.
Next game at Taiwan Royals - Bandar
3(2) - Bangkok Seamen(9-3) - Worst loss I've ever seen them take, and after most of there players made a considerable jump in levels. Luckily for them they have a cake walk to the third seed from here on out, but this is not how this team wanted to enter the playoffs.
Next game vs Tokyo Whalers - Bangkok
4(5) - Phuket All(9-3) - Back in the top four and at the perfect time. The schedule makers did them no favors though with PSK and the always tough Krakatoan Red Warriors still ahead. If they win out, a home playoff game is theres. If they drop one, they could fall all the way to 6th.
Next week vs Xi'an Dragons - Phuket
5(6) - Pennsylvania Silver Knights(8-4) - A 3 point loss to the Flash, and wins over Singapore and Pattaya steal the 5th spot for PSK. They've built some momentum, and it's put up or shut up time for the Pro League newcomers. Niagara, Phuket and Ho Chi Mean are all possible losses if this team is not careful.
Next week at Niagara Jeanhorns - PSK has played just about everyone close, and that will allow Niagara to pull the upset this week
6(7) - Singapore Marauders(8-4) - Huge huge win over Queensland puts Singapore in a great position down the stretch. Two big games still loom on there schedule, Pattaya and NACJAC, if they can go 1-1 they stay in the top 6 IMO. A PSK loss earlier in the season could be the only thing keeping them out of the top 5.
Next week at Pattaya Partisans*GAME OF THE WEEK* - Talk about intense, these two teams playoff pulse is on the line in this game. Singapore wins this one
7(4) - Queensland Flash(8-4) - Back to back losses for the first time all season are tough at this point in such a competitive conference. There run defense has been beaten on the past two games, and needs to find itself quickly as they still have a very tough matchup vs Bandar before the season finishes. This team could finish any where from 4-8 depending on how they do down the stretch.
Next week vs Holbrook Roadrunners - Queensland
8(9) - Niagara Jeanhorns(7-5) - Niagara won the most important game they could all season in week 6 over Pattaya. That tie breaker has them in the playoffs...for now. They have a gimmie vs Spokane, but PSK, ESL and Bangkok Tweety's could all be losses, and if they want there magical season to continue, they need to beat one of those teams, if not two.
Next week vs Pennsylvania Silver Knights - If they can win this one, they might just clinch a playoff spot
9(8) - Pattaya Partisans(7-5) - This team put themselves in hot water by dropping a close game vs Niagara. With Singapore, Bandar and the Taiwan Blood Pandas, they have an even tougher ending schedule than Niagara, and whichever team steps up more will make the playoffs. It's gut check time.
Next week vs Singapore Marauders*GAME OF THE WEEK* - Must win for Pattaya, but a very important game for Singapore as well. Singapore squeaks by in a close one.
10(10) - Macau Gamblers(5-7)
11(11) - Chaiyaphum Gothic(5-7)
12(12) - Xi'an Dragons(3-9)
13(13) - Holbrook Roadrunners(3-9)
14(14) - Tokyo Whalers(2-10)
15(15) - Spokane Vandalizers(1-11)
16(16) - Taiwan Royals(0-12)
EDIT
