Ok I'm looking to increase my "can i catch it" area to avoid these weird plays where i'm apparently outrunning the ball causing stupid incompletions that should be caught. My question is where to put the SP to make this happen, should I just pour them all into catching, or split them up between jumping and vision. Obviously catching makes more sense to improve my catching, but my catching is soft capped while jumping/vision are both mid 30s. So would I get more out of the SPs by putting them into jumping/vision since it will only take 1 SP to boost instead of 2? Or would I be best to spend points in all 3 categories?

Catching. Bort's stated WR's don't use vision on catching a ball. Jumping could help, but that's only if it's high. Catching helps wether it's good, bad, high, low, perfect, tipped. Ect.

thanks...i figured that was the case, just wanted to hear from someone who knows more about the situation than i do. what exactly does a WR use vision for then? is it just reading the coverage to find the open spots in the zone and making cuts after the catch?

Actually WRs DO use vision and Bort said so a few days ago:

I think you are all missing the fact that vision is part of the "can I catch the ball" check.

Is catching still the better option though, even though it's not going to go up as much as jumping/vision? I know this isn't something anyone can for certain, but based on your experiences....

I thought jumping would help on low balls too...especially if jumping helps CBs on diving tackles...

In my experience you can still catch the ball with low vision and jumping.
I don't know whether you can catch the ball with high vision or jumping but low catching however... and logic tells me not to test it because it'd be a waste of time.

It wouldn't be low catching, like I said my catching is soft capped +some from eq. While jumping/vision/confidence are mid 30s. Would say 6 points be better spent as +3 catching, or +2 jumping/vision/confidence? Would 12 points be better as +6 catching or +4 jumping/vision/confidence?

I think that depends more on your assessment of the CBs in your league. You really have to consider weighing your attributes against them more than anything.
