Why are my LBs doing this. I am a new owner and am doing the DC for my team. What is the best defense to against the singleback 3 WR and shotgon 3WR. The TE gets open a lot against me out of these formations. Thanks for the help

If the TE is killing you, you need to stop blitzing with your LLB. Or you can play a cover 1 or cover 3 man and let your SS cover the TE by himself. A cover 2 D will let your LLB cover the TE and the SS will just wait for him downfield.

The best defense against 3 WR is a nickel where you have 3 CBs to match with the WRs. If you want to double the TE in these formations choose the cover 2 shell and underneath man coverage. This will let you match a CB on each WR, a LB and a SS on the TE. You'll have 2 free LBs to blitz or cover the back out of the backfield. Of course this only works if you're using the defense AI.
