1 (1)- Rotterdam Roughnecks 9-1 - After some quiet games, Roughneck QB Corey Smith reminded everyone why they are the most complete offense in Zeta. With another convincing win under their belt, can this team be stopped? We'll find the answer in the next four week when both Stockholm and Korb come a knocking. Player of the game: Roughneck QB Corey Smith who completed 21 of 30 passes for 247 yards, three touchdowns and no interception.

Next week vs. Multiple Scorgasm - Roughnecks gets an angry Scorgasm team.

2(3) - Frankfurt Heat 9-1 - Frankfurt's final tune up game. Rolled the Cowboys 86-0. Player(s) of the game: Frankfurt FB Darren Wilkins who had 111 yards on 11 carries and two touchdowns. Not often we give love to FB but his performance was tough to ignore.

Next week vs. Rivals Mainboard Pimps - potential game of the week.

3(4) - Stockholm Meatball 8-2 - A lot of trash talking occur prior to this game, mostly centered around Meatball HB Mal Brown. Mal responded with a good game as the league's best rushing team grinds out another victory, this time 27-14 over the Longnecks. The difference seems to be the depth in the backfield, Meatballs had 3 players with 15 or more carries which allowed them to keep their ball carrier fresh and control the time of possession. Player(s) of the game: Stockholm OL which opened up holes for their HBs all game long to the tune of 280 yards on the ground. Something they've been doing well all season long.

Next week vs. Reykjavik Aggies - the Aggies will put the ball in the air a lot against the no.3 rush defense in the league.

4(2) - Korb Destroyers 8-2 - Very disappointing loss to the Pimps 33-30 in OT. Korb rolled out nearly 500 yards of total offense, including 192.5 yards on the ground but turning the ball over 4 times is going to kill you against quality competition. Korb is 1-5 all time against the Pimps dating to their AAA days. Player of the game: Timgrad Flember who has been steadily improving since a shaky start to the season, finished the game with 23 of 32 passing for 198 yards and two touchdowns and no interceptions.

Next week vs PPP Longnecks - look for another physical game here as Korb looks to right the ship and keep pace with the teams at the top of the standing.

5(5)- Rivals Mainboard Pimps 7-3 - The Pimps seem to really like to play close game, this is their 3rd overtime game of the season and they are 2-1 in these OT games. Knowing how to win close games should help this team as they move closer to the playoffs. The Pimps went against their usual physical grind it out style and attacked the Destroyers through the air. Player of the game: Mr. Bundy again I know and I swear he's not paying me. Anyhow he came up huge in OT again forcing a fumble on Destroyer HB Mageta Montoya which basically ended the game in the Pimps favor.

Next week at Frankfurt Heat, Pimps looks to take the no.2 team in these rankings down for the 2nd consecutive week.

6(6) - MA Trolls 7-3 - The streak is at 7 and this Troll team is rolling and gaining confidence with each game. Dispatched the Blind Rage easily as expected, 38-3. Outgained Blind Rage 496.5 to 97.5 and sacking Rage QB Joe Goodberry 14 times, someone's gonna be sore tomorrow. Player of game: Troll DE Capt Crunch who had a busy day with 10 tackles and 7 sacks, including a safety.

Next week vs. Rohrheim Stampede, match up of two teams going in opposite directions, Stampede have lost three straight contests.

7(unranked) - Porto Reconquista 5-5 - Porto is here by virtue of being the only 5-5 team that won this week. Porto was able to stuffed the Valencia ground attack and make the Billy Goats one dimensional. The Reconquista ground game on the other hand was rolling as it racked up 386.5 yards. Although they were fairly sloppy with the ball, losing five turnovers. Player of the game: Reconquista HB Dozer Dogmeat who gained 259 yards on 33 carries with six touchdowns.

Next week at Oslo Beserkers, get an underrated Beserker team that just knocked off the Scorgasm.

8(7)- PPP Longnecks 5-5 - Had a hard time deciding who to put here so I went with the Longnecks who lost to the best competition. The Longneck offense were held in check all day by the strong Meatballs defense. On the other side of the ball, the usually stout Longneck defense got worn down by a relentless Meatball rushing attack. Player of the game: HB Jimmy Slasher had a good game in a losing effort, gaining 108.5 yards on 17 carries and 2 catches for 14.5 yards.

Next week at Korb Destroyer, doesn't get any easier here as they face the no.2 rushing defense in WEPL.

Bubble Teams

Rohrheim Stampede 5-5 - stunned by a Paris team that is playing for pride
Multiple Scorgasm 5-5 - Oslo isn't really a gutted team but you can't drop games you should win in this league.
Reykjavik Aggies 5-5 - have the toughest road of any of the 5-5 teams, needs to turn it around quick.

How can you see we are #3 in rush defense? I can't find a stat list like that anywhere.

It's (oddly) under the passing/rushing stats instead of the defensive stats.

It's funny to see 3 teams with negative rushing yards for the season.

Another great write up PFDS.

Though -- I would still rank Korb ahead of the Meatballs, based on schedule alone. Stockholm is just about to hit the real meat (hey-oh!) of our schedule with the Aggies, Roughnecks, Korb and HEAT.

I'll be doing plenty of drinking these next 8 days.

If one were to look at TD's allowed, Stockholm would look pretty good as well.

Well that is only because they have to play against us, and we don't!
