Every other game my DE seems to get tagged for an encroachment penalty and I can't figure out why. Sometimes it happens in the first quarter, other times later. IS this a stamina or confidence issue or what? Any ideas?

none of my players have been called for it. So I think it might be a vision thing. Low confidence will also cause it to happen more frequent.

Stamina will affect your vision.
I know one game I got 80+ plays, and it was the first time I got an encroachment penalty.

lol that doesnt mean stamina affects your vision. you just happened to jump offsides. Just because it never happened before doesnt mean it will never happen at all.

offsides/encroachment/false starts are typically confidence/vision related penalties. Nobody except Bort knows the exact formula for them but typically the more your confidence and/or vision is below 30 the more frequently you will get tagged for them.

if your ingame freshness is low it lowers your stats, one of which is vision

You may be right but I have never heard that being said before therefor I assume it is a guess on your half. Although I was gone for a month with no computer access so maybe it was mentioned by Bort in that period of time.
Edit: I realize as you get tired, your player wears down on physical attributes such as strength, agility, and speed, but vision is more like a mental attribute because your player doesnt get dumb as the game goes on, he only gets slower, and weaker.

Oh, I thought it said attributes, not just physical. But I guess eye movement can be classified as physical somewhat.
