I am a receiving tight end and I was wondering what skills/perks are best to focus on?

Thanks for the epic bump. I actually thought someone stole my account info...only to realize that was my first post ever!

*laughs* I didn't see the date of the original post the first time I clicked on it. I just couldn't figure out why one of the more senior builders in the game was asking that question!

So... what did you learn in all that time? Care to do the "circle of life" thing and provide the answer to your own question?

Its actually changed A TON since I made that post. It was in the "GLB MAIN" Forum but got moved here when it was bumped.
When I made that post a TE named Deacon Moss ( http://goallineblitz.com/game/player.pl?player_id=26257 ) was dominating GLB. He was on the "Detroit Dumptrucks " or something like that.. I forget the name. Anyways.... Back then everyone put a lot of points into SA's & route run/sticky hands were king.
If I was to answer that question today I would probably have to say 1)Speed 2)Agility 3)Strength 4)Carrying and the TE SAs are worthless. Carrying is very important later on. The TE will get tons of passes Knocked loose if you don't have it, not to mention it helps with the break tackle roll.

Is it OK for a raw newbie to ask a question of the veterans?
I was wondering about the list of 1)Spd 2)Agl 3)Str 4)Car. Doesn't he have to catch the ball before he can carry it? I don't mean this in a critical way because you have vastly more experience than I - I'm just curious because I have a TE that I'm in a quandary about (http://goallineblitz.com/game/player.pl?player_id=1762361). I'm not sure about whether to go for Agl & Spd early in the build or concentrate on the majors. I was planning on capping blocking early and leaving it alone after that.
If this is the wrong thread to ask such a question, let me know and I'll go away.

It really depends on what you want your TE build to be. I will send you a PM with some advice, but I have a few questions about your build.

I am also building a receiving TE (currently lvl10), and I capped catching and vision first. I'm thinking that that might have been a mistake...
The plan is now to cap speed with SP, while intense training str/jum (until I cap str = all majors except blocking), and afterwards cap agility (still intense training str/jum).
Any thoughts on that?

Nothing wrong with that. I would also work up strength. You can always hit speed/agility later
