Catching to 1st soft-cap. That should reduce drops little bit, but you'll still drop 1+ per game.

Catching to soft-cap
Vison to soft cap
Sticky hands

When I finally got those 3 to where I wanted it was a huge difference.

Soft capping vision is a waste of points IMO.

Soft cap catching then agility before anything else.

I am on your side

From what I read, softcapping catching might increase the amount of drops since the catching radius have increase. Making your WR try to catch more passes that are rather difficult to catch in the first place. I think sticky hands is a better way to prevent drops.

Uhhh how is that a bad thing? I assume it increases your radius, but would also make your catch balls that are in your "comfort zone" easier. And as for trying to catch things that used to be outside of your radius, that's a good thing. Even if you drop it, it's better than an incompletion.

actually its just as bad as an incompletion. Probably worse since the vast majority of WR dont even understand what a drop is, let alone anyone who DOESNT have a WR. How is it going to help a player when a GM sees them dropping 1 or 2 passes every game and then drops them to WR4, or when youre a FA and someone sees 80 receptions and 23 drops instead of 76 receptions and 11 drops? cause without the jumping and vision to back it up, thats about how much catching helps eliminate drops.

Catching helps eliminate drops that you would've had before you added the catching.

Then it has the effect of increasing drops because your WR will try to catch more balls that he wouldn't have normally.

As a team player, I'd much rather have my WR going for more catching, but dropping them, than having them sail right over my head. If your owner doesn't understand that, then you're probably on a bad team to begin with.

drops hurt morale more than any other event in GLB it seems. drops lead to more drops, which lead to more drops and an ineffective WR. Catching's effect on easy balls is minimal; it helps you get MORE chances at a much larger rate than it helps you get BETTER chances. Higher catching over your abilities that actually help you CATCH is both a waste of SP and detrimental to your performance.

carrying does not help drop passes. I'm trying to raise Vision now to see if that helps.

And do you have anything to back up any of that? I added some catching to my WR, going of the soft cap, and he has been catching passes he's dropped earlier in the season. I think it's ridiculous to say that CATCHING doesn't help a WR with dropped passes.

It's true, as your catching radius expands, the amount of balls that become catchable increase, but so do the amount of balls you should catch thus the drop radius increases as well so technically if you increase catching and dropping, you aren't reducing drops.
