There is a level 25 FB on my team that does a good job of getting out in front of the HB, but doesn't pick up defenders to block. Any idea how to fix this?


He has 62 Blocking, 37 Vision, 60 Strength, 5 Lead Block, and 3 Spot Blitz

Speed is 31.5, Agil is 36.5

He probably needs to get his vision up. He should softcap vision ASAP.

what's his agility? is he running by blocks or not seeing them at all?

did i miss something did they fix vision for fbs or something last i checked vision 25/30+ usually leads to the FB going after the defender with the highest threat which is usually someone far away from the play so you allow a lb to get to the hb

yea vision around 30 starts getting glitchy but i have heard that it irons out when you get near the softcap.

My FB doesn't have any problems. Every once in a while he makes a questionable decision but then again 50 isn't really that high in the grand scheme of things. Maybe with 70 vision he'd be able to instantaneously recognize which players had the most speed and best angles etc.

either he was supposed to seal in side so as to not let anybody out, or he needs softcapped vision to look downfield.

I can't see the play atm but just because he's blocking an "already blocked" guy, doesn't mean he's making the wrong decision.

That is just one play, I'm not necessarily talking about that play perse. It is just that our FB never gets down field to block. I see other teams in our league that have FB's that get down field and block. Me likes to get me some of that, lol.

I agree... If the linebacker wasn't blitzing (or he the LB has really bad vision he would have made a perfect block on the edge of the LOS creating a lane for your RB. IT was your Tight Ends fault for not getting the SS. If he would have done that your RB would have been gone.

Once downfield, vision is need to find defenders.

The "problems" with high vision in my experience usually occur behind or as approaching the line of scrimmage..where the FB might suddenly veer off to block the RDE on that play, for instance, instead of the LB straight ahead of him sitting in the gap.

Doesn't happen a lot, but it does happen occasionally. More vision would help the problem you are noting here.

Ive had that happen before where he outruns the halfback who is breaking the edge of the line and the fullback suddenly has no one to block. Look how far the SS is out of position. If he was in position the Fullback would have blocked him (which looks like is his assigned role). If your hb would have followed the Fullback closer he would have been better off.

Considering that your FB has zero pancakes, I think his biggest issue is speed. I noticed a vast improvement once I got speed soft capped. I'm thinking that speed can make up for a lack of vision or vice versa, but since that FB is kind of low in both areas, he's not able to use either attribute to compensate for the other. Agility might also be contributing to the problem.

My FB has 96 pancakes through 8 games this season (top 5 for the entire BBB#14) and both HBs are averaging ~7 YPC.
