I thought this would be the best place as any to discuss this. (Hope I don't get banned for this) Some of these new rules seemed a little ridiculous to me I don't know. Here are a few that I questioned:

* Please refrain from posting meaningless one-line posts, such as "IB4L," "wat," or "fail." If you want to post, please contribute to the conversation.
* Do not post "quote pyramids." This means posting quotes of other quotes multiple times in order to try and stretch out the page. (just wonder how much this will be enforced because sometimes it does make things easier to understand)
* No threads about how people's teams should be taken away. (I actually like the controversial threads sometimes, even about me. When I took over the Vikings there were a few complaining about me in our team thread and it starts discussion about the team, tactics, etc. at times)
* No “Look, Another Team Got Gutted” threads. (it happens, why not announce it)
* No "Poll Threads."
* No "Worthless threads," i.e. "Miller Test Here" threads.
* No "Blog threads" - GLB isn't the place to seek attention like that.

Discuss, IF YOU DARE.

If/When you venture out into the main forums, you find that is is a ridiculous place.. needing ridiculous rules.

These are the only two I have no intention of following. Look, people need to know when a team gets gutted. Don't try to sweep it under the rug. This is a weak ass, heavy handed rule, IMO.

haha i didn't even read it, but yeah they sound pretty retarded.

forums are forums, at most you get some mods to clean shit up.

I agree, if you want forums on your site, monitor them with Mods, don't restrict what is to be said.

These are the ones I won't follow

Quoting is so you can retain the history of a discussion, sometimes to people will talk back and forth for a while and it can get long.

I'm not a big "IBL"-er but i will enjoy a nice 'fail' from time to time. Just the other day some new owner posted about how he wanted there to be a way to "scout the other team, like the plays they run and stuff"

Yeah I play in Suggestions alot, and will agree that main forums are pretty much a ridiculous place.

hehe.. pick & choose the rules you wanna break if you want.. just don't gripe when the hammer comes down.. whether agree or disagree, the law of the land had been laid out, so if you're posting now.. you did agree to abide by them..
