So yea I'm wondering if I should start putting points into strength because I don't really know what to do now with my build I never touched my str so far.

Is there a real use for strength in receiving TEs? or it's just a thing you put in there to make him more balanced?

I think it is important. You are usually covered by a lb, it helps you not fumble, break tackles, and even if you are a receiving TE it helps you on run plays with blocking. I think it is very important.

Agreed, strength is needed to shed that LB to get open as well, I'd definitely work on strength.

I'd train strength if it's low for you.

Either way, it's important.

Strength does very little for a receiving TE other than help you fumble less.

im experimenting with an high str receiving TE. at level 30 i will have about 84 str 60 speed 50 agility. i plan to pump the lower the shoulder SA. right now im at 73 str 50 agility but only 30 speed. i dont really get open too much due to my lack of speed. i will have that soft capped shortly. right now i cant tell if the build is working as i dont have all the basic requirements filled. but by the end of the season i should have a good idea. ill keep you informed.

I tend to agree with this guy... why would I want str to break tackles if I can simply avoid them and get open more effectively at the same time with higher spd/agi?

And sum1 talked about LBs being able to jam you at the line... could you show me examples of this happening?

I have 70 Str, 50 spd, 50 agility. I get less than 1YAC and only have 6 broken tackles on 50 receptions. If I weren't using the Str for blocking, I'd say its completely useless.

I put eq int catching and speed. Catching is softcapped and speed will be at next lvl up. I have 26 strength and have had no problems fumbling the ball as of yet. I don't plan on working on strenght/blocking till I get agility to the softcap.

I have a moderate Str build and 5 in lower shoulder. I get 2.1 YAC. 6 broken tackles this season. 1 fumble ever in season 2.

Pretty useless...

^^that's pretty sad, with the fixed elusive running maybe you would've gotten more with spd/agi

Yes. Strength helps hold the ball along with breaking tackles and helps with blocking. Its a multi-purpose stat.

What is your confidence at? Has it been ruled out that confidence has nothing to do with SAs unless morale is involved?
