Okay, so for the most part last week was pretty easy to predict...I even got one game dead on...This week has a couple more games that will be pretty difficult...
LAST WEEK: 8-0
LOU 225-CLEM 0---Actual: LOU 181-CLEM 0
LINC 210-TEX 0---Actual: LINC 187-TEX 0
JAXB 97-RICH 3---Actual: JAXB 40-RICH 7
FRST 42-DEI 24---Actual: FRST 42-DEI 24 (YAY ME!)
HOU 45-BALT 7----Actual: HOU 37-BALT 19
SYR 38-SAG 14----Actual: SYR 83-SAG 0
REDB 42-RIVC 31--Actual: REDB 48-RIVC 7
APP 38-CLEV 31---Actual: APP 38-CLEV 26
Let's Get to This Week's Selections:
(8) Louisville Baby Kittens (6-0) vs. Deimon Devil Bats (1-5)
Okay, who in the hell gave Louisville such a cupcake schedule to start the season? Other than Cleveland, they haven't had to face a championship contender yet...Louisville gets a chance to pad their stats yet again against another bottom feeder...Louisville 191-Deimon 3
(7) Syracuse Samurai (5-1) vs. State of Texas Domination (0-6)
Another giveaway game...I really hope they find an owner up for the re-building challenge for Texas soon...It's almost becoming difficult for me to come up with more words to describe the pathetic state of the Domination...Syracuse 169-Texas 0
(6) Clemson Gamecock Kickers (0-6) vs. River City Ransom (3-3)
River City is on the verge of asserting themself with the top teams in the conference...They get an easy game this week before they have to play Houston...Clemson is getting beat like a government mule every week, and this week is no different...River City 101-Clemson 0
(5) Richmond Empire (1-5) vs. Frostburg Bobcats (3-3)
No offense to Seirus, but Frostburg's record is a little inflated...Their 3 wins have been close wins over the pond scum known as Clemson, Texas, and Deimon...Richmond is another team that is to be included in that group...Frostburg will get to enjoy a short high of being above .500 before they have straight games against Appalachian, Lincoln, and Syracuse...Hope they enjoy it while it lasts...Frostburg 56-Richmond 10
(4) Baltimore Hustle (1-5) vs. Saginaw Spirit (2-4)
Both teams are looking for their identity in the league...Saginaw has an owner that's been busting his rear to replace all the players lost in the shuffle of ownership change...Baltimore looked promising at the beginning of the season, but that has fallen apart quickly...Saginaw has looked good in their games against the conference speed bumps, and I have a feeling it continues here...Saginaw 45-Baltimore 13
(3) Red Bank Thundercats (6-0) vs. Houston Armageddon (3-3)
Houston is a similar team to River City...A team on the cusp of breaking through to the next level...Unfortunately for them, they're coming up against the unstoppable force that is Red Bank...Red Bank's defense has not given up more than 17 points this year, including games against top teams Appalachian and Lincoln...It's going to be unfortunate to see Houston dip under the Mason-Dixon line...Red Bank 62-Houston 10
(2) Appalachian Lycans (5-1) vs. Jax Beach Juggernauts (4-2)
Finally an interesting game for this week...Since falling in the first game against Red Bank, Appalachian has been on a tear, including toppling a tough Cleveland team last week...Meanwhile, Jax Beach has mostly been feeding on the minnows at the bottom of the conference...Jax Beach is a sleeper team though, as they played Cleveland to the final buzzer...These teams are very evenly matched, with the only real advantage being Appalachian's defense...This one could be another toss-up...Appalachian 35-Jax Beach 24
(1) GAME OF THE WEEK: Lincoln Freedom Warriors (4-2) vs. Cleveland Buckeyes (4-2)
Who ever thought Cleveland would be in two consecutive games of the week? With his strong recruiting efforts during this offseason, Raves has turned Cleveland into one of the sharks in the ocean of the Eastern Conference...This game will be the true measuring stick of where they stack up...Meanwhile, Lincoln shored up some serious problem areas in the offseason as well...In addition, they added more firepower to the receiving corps...This game is going to come down to which offense better takes advantage of the other team's defense...Unfortunately for Raves, Lincoln's defense is a tough one to score on...Lincoln 38-Cleveland 28
Enjoy the write-up gentleman...Hopefully I have another 8-0 week...
