Rapid City Rushmores at Anchorage Wolves – The long awaited game for the Wolves is finally here. The chance to big down the big dog has been on the mind of the Wolves since last we met! The Wolves are hoping to capitalize on the recent problems the Rushmores have had and put up another win. However, like most teams in the West; the Rushmores have owned the Wolves for past few seasons.

Rushmores ? – Wolves ?

Chicago Maroons at DVDTalk Otters – Chicago’s nightmare run started off as expected as Caprica laid down another loss. I’m sure the Maroons weren’t too happy to see Sioux Falls take down Rapid City and add to the nightmare! The Otters need to remain focused in this game after coming off of an easy win.

Maroons 20 – Otters 21

Uncle Sam’s Misguided Children at Caprica Buccaneers – The battle of the undefeated and pure supremacy in the West is up for grabs! Two teams enter; only one will leave undefeated. Can USMC do the unimaginable and take down the mighty Buccaneers? USMC has only been challenged by one team this year while the Buccaneers have had to fight through some of the elite of the West. This game will truly prove if USMC is a powerhouse in the West. This is my GAME OF THE WEEK!!!!!!!

Misguided Children 17 – Buccaneers 28

Pittsburgh Highlanders at Sioux Falls Storm – The Storm is holding their heads high for not many can say they’ve taken down Rapid City! They have earned their nickname of “The Silent Killers of the West.” Although I’m sure they are on everyone’s radar now. It’s been a rough start for the Storm, but they get a game off this week.

Highlanders 20 – Storm 45

San Diego Silver Shock at Ivalice Tacticianers – The Silver Shock has one more game before the heart of their schedule begins and they get to have the pleasure of playing the struggling Tacticianers. A team on the rise, but still a season away; the Tacticianers look to miss the playoffs this season while the Silver Shock looking for post season glory.

Silver Shock 48 – Tacticianers 10

Death Valley Shadowblades at Midwest Mayhem – A great match up between two teams battling it out for post season rights down the stretch, but the Shadowblades have shown they are a force to be reckoned with. The Shadowblades will strive for continual success before their vacation plans on 10/9/08 through 10/20/08. The Mayhem have to come prepared or they will be run over in this match up.

Shadowblades 35 – Midwest Mayhem 28

Rocky Mountain Thunder at San Jose SkyForce – Another great match up against two teams that have had a horrible schedule so far this season. A very evenly matched game will show who has grown the most. A big factor that could bite the SkyForce is their Team Chemistry. As teams improve, their chemistry is hurt and battles like this require every edge you can get.

Thunder 24 – SkyForce 18

Sierra Vista Buffalos at Southside Spartans – The match up for the rookie owners and I game I wanted to label the Game of the Week due to the impact it means for each team. Everyone strives to improve and bring the best players in that they can. No one has done a better job recruiting than the Buffalos who log countless hours on GLB and continually bring in talent. Each week it seems like they put up more and more points and won’t be taken lightly. The Spartans have been patient in their growth and focused on keeping their team together. A very even and exciting match up that everyone in the league should be watching as even our lowest ranked teams are better than teams in higher leagues!

Buffalos 35 – Spartans 45

Amalsan or Hate Sighed who is going to be able to tell the other "You were my first!" I've done a lot of scouting and prep for this game, I circled it two days after I got my team. Hopefully it lives up to the billing, Chemistry is the big difference between our two squads, best of luck Spartans...You'll need it

I'll go ahead and call this one. Rapid City has faced a some tough games and tough losses this past week or so. Something tells me they will be planning harder than ever for this one to hold onto the record they have. On the other hand Anchorage is no pushover. They too have something to hold onto in jockying for position for the playoffs and looking to even the score a bit with the team that has consistently dominated them the past 3 seasons.

Rapid City - 34 Anchorage - 21

I'm not sure about that score; let's look back in the past:

Season 2 - Rapid City - 17 Anchorage - 23
Season 3 - Rapid City - 37 Anchorage - 3
Season 3 Playoffs - Rapid City - 21 Anchorage - 3
Season 4 - Rapid City - 35 Anchorage - 13

I'm not so sure I'll put up 21 points on them since I haven't done it since Season 2. I do appreciate the help with the predictions!

No offense to anyone, but our schedule has been pretty favorable up to this point.
I'd also like to look at the history of our two teams.

Season 2 - Caprica-28 USMC-0
Season 3 - Caprica-23 USMC-0
Season 4 - Caprica-17 USMC-7
Season 4 Playoffs - Caprica-24 USMC-7

Considering that we've never scored more than 7 points, I'd be happy with 17.
It should be a good game, I've been working on some new wrinkles to get those extra 10 points.

Ouch, now that was harsh...it hurt.

Season 2 - Death Valley - 3 Midwest -21
Season 3 - Death Valley -10 Midwest -36
Season 4 - Death Valley -20 Midwest -27

They have had our number each and every season. This will be tough hill to climb. We only average 11 ponts against them, while they average 26. I know the average nubers over the seasons don't mean jack, but man that is one tough hill.

ugh....I'm nervous for our game today. Rushmores lose and we're in big trouble. I might have to fire myself from GM, the owners aren't happy

I'm more excited, but that's what happens when you've been on the losing end of a match up!

Nothing meant by it, but we didn't lose to ya'll in season 2 either..... I think you have the score reversed.....

We remember our losses...

Season 2 (our first season) - losses to Wala Wala and Chicago
Season 3 - loss to DVD
Season 4 - No losses
Season 5 - (I don't wanna talk about right now... )

I have two things to say about our game vs. Rocky Mountain.

First off...the Thunder deserve credit for a solid scouting job against us. They shut down our passing lanes well and their LB blitzes worked to perfection against our runs.

On the flip side...this whole chemistry shit has absolutely got to stop. If Bort wants teams to win the right way, then why the hell does low team chemistry affect us THIS much??? No offense to Rocky Mountain - they're better than us in some aspect, while we're better in others - but there's no way in hell we should have lost 45-0.

I'm so effing frustrated about this crap. We put together a solid gameplan and I've invested hundreds of dollars into this team (yes, it's true) for what? To see us get our asses handed to us week after week. I, for one, am tired of playing in this league. I don't care if I am whining. This is fuckin nuts.

I kept quiet about it for a while, but to lose the last two games like we have when we were EVEN with our opponents on the scouting report is absolutely ridiculous.
