Warrior General Games

Lots of movement at the top. Its been a fun opening few weeks with a couple upsets and a new team occupying the top of our power rankings. That’s three teams in three weeks for anyone that’s counting. Sorry if you team didn’t get a lot of attention, there’s just not a lot to say about some teams.

Title Contenders

1. RGB Berzerk- (+2) Keep on winning and take the new top spot in the league. Big games in Week 8 and 9. Win these and an undefeated season seems pretty easy. Only flaw I can find on the team is in FG kicking… will they even need to kick a FG? Grats guys. You’ve earned the top spot.

2. Tallahassee Teabaggers- (-1) After squeaking by Anchorage and an OT win against Chicago, the Teabaggers finally dropped a game to RGB… who would have thought? Should win the next 10 games without a problem, sealing up the number 2 playoff spot in 7 games…
3. Anchorage Maulers- (0) Stays at number three for now, I’ve got no doubt this team still doesn’t have the ability to run the table in the playoffs. A couple teams to settings would probably have been the difference. If its true, and they haven’t boosted yet, this team is scary good.
4. Fresno Jaguars-(0) Loss to RGB doesn’t seem nearly as bad after last week. Fresno can look forward to a bunch of easy games to finish off the year and should keep a home field for the playoff

A season away….

5. Chicago Thunder- (0) Seem to have cemented their spot right outside the top four teams. They’ve lost to 3 of the 4 top teams and have yet to play RGB. Going from 4-12 last season to what could easily be 12-4 would be a tremendous one season turnaround.

Locks for the playoffs, but out of title contention....

6. Las Vegas Legends (0) Not too impressive in their win against So. Cal, but a win is a win. Should stroll through schedule till a game with Frenso in Week 15. That my friends is about All we have to look forward to till the end of the season.
7. Roswell Space Pirates- (0) Looked good against Philly, still have a brutal end schedule, but could end up +.500 for the first time.
8. San Diego Blaze- (0) A win over Las Vegas would catapult them from a first round playoff game against the top team to a possible 6 seed. Should be a fun game, though the Blaze will have trouble protecting the pocket. ImUp ImDown is one of the best QB’s in the league and has some great WRs to compliment. Wouldn’t be surprised if they pulled the upset.

Outside looking in...

9. So.Cal Beach Bums-(0) Terrible against Las Vegas and they definitely did not play like a team that wants to make the playoffs. Maybe next year boys.
10. Philadelphia Demonik- (0) Sitting a 3-3, I’m not sure if they have the meat to pull an upset. Chemistry is still pretty weak too.

Just felt like another division belonged here….

11. Houston Space Cowboys- (-1) Barely beat Port Moresby….
Looking for a clue…..

12. Port Moresby Trucks- (0) Will get dominated today by Chicago. I have a feeling some guys on this team have really bad builds, or they have really bad tactics..
15. Scranton Soaring Midgets- (+2) You guys don’t belong here, get some humans on the team.
14. RAVING MAD DAWGS-(0) Got some new players, keep it going. Horrible loss to Fresno.
15. Springville Renagades- (-2) You guys got beat by SCRATON. Lol… at least you have human players.
16. Phoenix Resurrection- (0) Still no owner to speak of…

Considering that we all thought that this would be a disaster season for the conference, it looks like there is at least a decent amount of competition. Well about half the division anyway. I'd love to see RGB hold on to that top spot, but Anchorage are looking pretty fierce. Intersting game tomorrow.

RGB really surprised me too. Did you guys make the playoffs last year? We lost 56-6 early last year to y'all, I'd like to think we'll keep it close this year.

This would be the main line. May be a misrepresentation due to typos but your basically saying we can't dominate in the playoffs.

well we've established that I'm merely just commenting on my thoughts.

To make it clearer, I've got no doubt you guys can win the championship. A couple changes to settings and you probably would have won that game. No questions there. You guys lost 21-20. Who knows?

What would be the reason for waiting to boost your team? If you indeed haven't boosted, your team has to be the favorites come playoff time.

You can extrapolate whatever information you want out of that, but as you can see from my past posts, I've yet to say a bad thing about any team.

I for one look forward to Dawg's anaylsis.
I think it is compelling reading....both his good points and bad points.

Is everything accurate?
No.
We have a whole thread in our team forum dedicated to getting no respek.
In the preseason rankings we were given a brief mention as a possible "breakout team".
After going 3-29 our first two seasons we went 10-6 last season that included two losses on fluke plays late in the game.
We felt that last year was our breakout season.

Even after we were 4-0 we were only moved up to 5th in the rankings behind Chicago.
The classic response from our GM Tree was merely..."Its cute".

And now with a win over the Teabaggers we are suddenly vaulted to the number 1 slot.
Is this accurate?
I dont know.
I guess on the theory that the Baggers beat the Maulers and we beat the Baggers so we are put ahead of the Maulers.
We still have plenty to prove before we are the legit #1 team in the conference.
I think any of the top 4 teams as listed by Dawg could beat one another on any given Odd day of the week.
We were one play away from losing our last game.
Take away out 2 defensive TD's and it is just another ho-hum 17-14 win for the Baggers.
Games with Chicago and San Diego are not gimmies either.

Keep doing what you are doing Dawg....I'm sure I'm not the only one who looks forward to your insightful and often entertaining analysis.
