In the nickel defense do I have a LILB and RILB or do I have a MLB and LOLB/ROLB? I am trying to set the blitzes for this formation.
I was thinking since I have only two LBS it must be a LILB and RILB. Am I correct?

3-3 Nickel = ROLB/MLB/LOLB

remember that those LBs have coverage responsibilities...in a 4-2-5 with man underneath, MLB will generally pick up the first back to go into a pass route, and the LOLB always has the TE.

Choose well or give up lots of passes to wide open receivers. Your cover scheme will dictate whether your SS will pick up the TE, enabling the LOLB to blitz, for example.
