Hey Everyone, sorry I haven't been around for the last 2 games...It's been a real rough 7 days at school, having had tests in Accounting, Military History, and Macroeconomics...I'm back for week 6 though, even though it looks to be a week of epic mismatches, aside from 1 or 2 games...Let's Go!
(8) Clemson Gamecock Kickers (0-5) vs. Louisville Baby Kittens (5-0)
Is there much to say about this game...One of the championship favorites going against the scum you find on the bottom of your tent after a rainstorm...Louisville is just going to pad it's passing stats in this game...Louisville 225-Clemson 0
(7) Lincoln Freedom Warriors (3-2) vs. State of Texas Domination (0-5)
Despite being 3-2, Lincoln is starting to hit their stride with recent wins over Houston and Saginaw and is bringing a little bit of swagger to the Star City...Texas is still trying to find its identity while looking for new ownership...Luckily for Lincoln, they don't have to worry about looking past Texas to the next game against Cleveland...The big question is whether or not Lincoln can put up the numbers that Louisville and Appalachian have put up against the improperly named Domination...I say not quite...Lincoln 210-Texas 0
(6) Richmond Empire (1-4) vs. Jax Beach Juggernauts (3-2)
Richmond has a win? Yes, they do, but it came against the hapless Texas team...Like Texas, Richmond is looking for an owner that will take some interest in re-building the team...Jax Beach has played two of the top teams in the conference very well, and came within a point of upsetting the resurgent Cleveland team...Jax Beach needs a game like this, as they play Appalachian and Lincoln the next 2 weeks...Jax Beach 97-Richmond 3
(5) Frostburg Bobcats (2-3) vs. Deimon Devil Bats (1-4)
This is an intriguing matchup...Both teams barely managed to defeat Texas, and Frostburg beat Clemson, but who hasn't beat Clemson? This looks to be a good matchup on paper, but I don't see the gameplanning being there for Deimon, while Seirus will have some semblance of a plan in place for Frostburg...Frostburg 42-Deimon 24
(4) Houston Armageddon (2-3) vs. Baltimore Hustle (1-4)
Houston started off the season good, with 2 straight wins against conference doormats Richmond and Deimon...Unfortunately, they then ran into Appalachian, Lincoln, and Syracuse in 3 straight weeks...Baltimore's lone win this season was against the third conference doormat in Clemson...Houston has too good of a team to have a losing record at this point in the season...The fifth mismatch of the week puts Houston back at .500...Houston 45-Baltimore 7
(3) Syracuse Samurai (4-1) vs. Saginaw Spirit (2-3)
This game could prove to be much better than it looks when comparing records...Jimo is quietly building a good team in Saginaw, and Syracuse is still working to prove that it belongs in the upper echelon of Eastern Conference teams...Could this game be Saginaw's coming out party, or are they just going to be another speedbump for a contender?...Unfortunately for them, I think it will be the latter, although not by as much as you would expect...Syracuse 38-Saginaw 14
(2) Red Bank Thundercats (5-0) vs. River City Ransom (3-2)
Finally we get a juicy game to look at here...Red Bank has been steamrolling anyone that dare tries to step up and challenge them...That includes 2 of the top contenders for the championship in Appalachian and Lincoln...River City cannot be taken lightly though, as they proved in week 3 against Lincoln...Red Bank may end up looking past River City, as they have Houston and Cleveland looming large...Red Bank 42-River City 31
(1) GAME OF THE WEEK: Appalachian Lycans (4-1) vs. Cleveland Buckeyes (4-1)
Where has Cleveland come from? Raves has steadily built a strong team up in the Buckeye State...I dare any team to overlook Cleveland...They played championship contender Louisville very closely, and they're still finding their way with the AI...After stumbling in week 1 against Red Bank, Appalachian has found their niche, beating tough teams in River City and Houston, along with the ritual dismantling of Saginaw and Texas...This game could be a contender for game of the year come the end of the season...Is Appalachian looking past Cleveland? If so, this could turn out different than I expect...I don't think they are...Appalachian 38-Cleveland 31
There you have it...Another weeks' worth of predictions for you all to chew me out on...
