I'm just curious if there's folks out there who have DTs that would be considered "weak" but are very fast and agile. Not to the extreme that we see DEs go for the effect, but definitely higher than most of the other builds.
I'm in a situation with my higher leveled DT (who played NT for his whole career up until now. He's being asked to be more of a pass-rusher and help create some disruption. He's typically built (str and agi both past the 3-cap and blah blah blah). So I got the idea to make a more pass-rush focused player at the position. I started a new guy out and dropped him in the d-leagues. I plan on raising strength, agility, and speed all fairly equally until I decide to take off with the speed and agility.
The downsides are obvious, but there may be some positives to be gleaned from the new advanced equipment system.
I know some folks have tried these types of builds in earlier seasons, but I'm curious to see if any of those guys are still around and can share their (most likely) troublesome stories and what they learned. Or perhaps they've been successful? I hope so. I'll make a new thread when he's out of d-leagues at the end of the season that will track his progress once he lands on a human team. If any games pop up where he faced equal competition in the d-leagues and was successful, I'll post those here as well.
