Spotty is the current owner of the Cincinnati Stallions. About a week ago i asked for a trade to my brothers team since one of his Agents had to leave the game for a period of time. Some time ago i signed a new contract going into season 8 with this team. There was not a big bonus evolved maybe 50k. I was unaware of what was going to happen with my brothers team needing my help.

Spotty agreed to a trade for either max cash or a equal level player. My brother has sent him the trade offer and has Pm'ed spotty many times with no response.

In return i have sent him a P.M asking to accept the trade so my player can Move to my brother team to help him.

I don't understand why Spotty would do this since he has been a good owner up until this.

I'm Warning anyone thinking about signing or going to this team to be aware of the type of actions he will take on his players when they ask for a simple request.

"Simple request?".... that phrase right there gave you & your own personal shady agenda away. This whole scenario has as much deceit & lying on the plaintiffs part than the last 5 minutes of a jury trial on a episode of matlock.

You are aware that signing until season 8 and then asking for a trade in season 5 a breach on your part, right? Spotty isn't responsible for anything that happens on your brothers team, nor is he obligated to mortgage his players as a band aid, no matter what your relations to him are.

What it sounds like, is your brother was either too short sighted or incapable of signing depth, and you were too short sighted to realize that a 3 season contract should obligate you to at least 1 season of play, regardless of the bonus, because you were likely going to get the money for equipment if/when you needed it.

Even if he agreed to the trade, just because he doesn't do it on your time line, doesn't mean he won't do it at all. Is it inconvenient as hell.. yes.. but so is having someone ask out of contract with 3 seasons left. He's behind on his "verbal" obligation by a week, you're backing out of a (essentially verbal) contractual obligation 3 months ahead of time.. so who's the bigger villian?

By your own admission this is at best, an isolated incident, so it's not as if there's a pattern of "shady" behavior here.. if anything, this post exposes you as someone who can't be trusted to live up to your end of a contract, and who makes bad decisions about long term commitments that you don't feel obligated to keep and who will jump ship on any team other than your brother's at a moments notice..

So thanks for the warning.. about you

Unless you can come up with something a bit more substantive than this weak crap, don't even bother trying to "tell us how it really happened" or rationalizing why your ditching spotty is ok, but spotty not making it easy for you to screw him over, is horrible. Whatever this People's court judge judy lame excuse for a sob story you think this is... here's a tip for you.. next time you try to elicit public opinion backlash against someone else over something irresponsible that you did.. lay off on the drama and keep it simple.. if you over indulge in details you just inadvertently give yourself away. It's Con Artist 101..

I swear things are getting lame when player agent's cant even frame their owners properly anymore... back in the day when people pulled this BS, they were tactfully vague & left out the details so that people could jump to conclusions & leave a shadow of doubt lingering over the owners head forcing them to have to defend themselves in players looking for teams or some crap.. you guys remember that? Now they just throw their own confessions into the alibi..

Spotty, don't even bother responding this crap.. but, kudos to you for having a player win this years "BearBryant Award" for stupid ass post from a player about an owner lacking any merit.. JDaniels, find this man an internet trophy JPG!!

For those of you thinking.. "WTF Sanderval, overreact much? why do you even care.." I don't.. I just wanted to make a reference to Matlock, JudgeJudy & BearBryant in the same post, everything else was just a transitional statement... never thought i'd see the day when i was finally able to make that dream of mine come true.. now.. had i gone for the quadfecta... i would have worked a reference to Ash Ketchum, Team Rocket, or some other misc Pokemon reference into the mix.. but sometimes, you just have to know your limits..

Sanderval speaks the truth. Not trading you away to your brothers team does not make him a bad owner. Why dont you stop whining, and serve the sentence that you signed on for. 3 years.

benching him for being asked to be traded is pretty lame. as for lying he was honest and upfront with the owner. so he signed a 3 years deal and got a 50k bonus. whats wrong with trading him for equal value? sounds to me you guys are the type of owner who thinks they can just force people to stay with the team. but as i look at your player it looks like you owne your whole team and you dont have to deal with agents. hey shit comes up in RL and people cant play. so what if he wants to join his brothers team to help him out. that is a Simple Request

You must be the brother.

Yes, if i sign a guy for 3 years, and they accept the contract then that means that they're going to play for 3 years UNLESS the owner feels they get a fair deal.

Also neither SMK or me own "our whole team", Sanderval owns like 4 teams with the amount of players he has (joking). Simple request is far different from a feasable request. Your brother owns a lvl 31 DE. That is extremely valuable, wanna tell me the "Equal player" you offered to trade?

hmm.. 4 teams no.. but I could probably could field the core unit of about 3 offenses & 3 defenses.. damn..

And if you bothered to read, & look beyond your own myopic needs, i never suggested that he should stay on the team.. i'm just saying that Spotty shouldn't be forced to accommodate circumstances beyond his control. He doesn't do one trade for a guy who basically running out on him, and he's trying to paint spotty like some short of shady back room pedo peddling slum lord. That's like not paying rent, then going to the local news because your landlord wouldn't fix your leaky faucet for a week..

But thanks for comin to our conference & pedllin' your manure Fond.. it's not like we haven't had dealings with spotty for several seasons or anything.. owait.. yes we have.. so surly we should take a single complaint out of no where to heart & paint spotty out as a "bad owner" that we shouldn't deal with, and treat that complaint as totally above all suspicion & should totally be take at face value without question..

Hell, i've been in the exact same spot as Deathrow.. done the exact same thing.. so having been in his exact position, and walked in his shoes (except my owner was an actual ass, AND he ran the team in the ground.. repeatedly).. I'm confident in saying he's going about it all wrong. None of the owners or players can do jack about the trade, and none of us are going to "boycott" spotty because of one agent none of us ever even heard of (we'd do it because he hoards CB's like a leprechaun hoards lucky charms & asks for crazy amounts of money for them ).. take it to support (who will tell you they can't do jack about the fact you're dumb enough to sign a 3 season contract), or the the GLBPA (who at least have some tactful form of negotiation, unlike trashing people on a league forum), & sort it out with the powers that be because not a damn thing is gonna be changed on the forums..

the whole point of these sorts of threads is to create some sort of pr backlash, and that's already failed.. miserably.. so cut your losses, suck up your pride, apologize, beg, lie, bribe, do whatever you gotta do to suck up & make it worth spotty's while to push the button.. and go do it

Sandy... I loved that. Anybody that can mention all of those programmes in one post deserves a reward. And lo and behold...here it is.

yeah thats bullshit deathrow, sorry you ran into that.
I never been on a team that has declined to trade a player away for a decent cash trade if something came up.

We are here to have fun.

The current tally
people who think that this post won't change a thing vs people who think making it public will somehow make it better

People in this league who actually own teams & have been on both sides of the situation: 1-0
Players in this league who actually play in the conf against the owner in question: 1-1
People who oddly enough likely stand to gain from the trade & have absolutely no ties to the conference at all: 0-1

Has anything actually changed other than me earning a SWEET award... no.

BTW THX M&M.. one day we should sit down & enjoy nice tall cool glass of OJ, maybe catch up the blah blah blah, and reminisce about the yakkety schmakety
