Have 5 pts to assign, and need build help in general! He is not being productive in making plays. Holds his own on line, but not a lot of penetration or tackles.

get strength to at least 90 and get agility to the next cap line. if you are playing NT, put a few more points in your break thru SA....if not, put it in shedblock/strongbase

Nt's are not mean to be productive. They are mean to help your other defenseive players be productive. Im talking about stats. You want ever be a sack or tackle master but your job will be plugging holes, taking on double teams which free up other defensive players and using D line general.

If the rest of your defense is getting tackles, sacks hurries etc then you are doing your job and are being "productive"

like i said, if you are the NT on your team, just keep focus on strength, and your SA's break thru and d-line general.

so no glaring mistake or need in build?

your build is fine just get your confidence up.But that doesent mean you need to put points into it. You could train it up to 30 in a season or 2

Are there any happy NT owners? I understand that NTs aren't supposed to rack up stats, but they do get TFL occasionally, and they do get a fair amount of tackles.

If Bort could find some balance between how godly NTs were in the preseason last season and how terrible they are now, I'd be happy. Maybe an occasional breaking of the double team or running over the C.

As is, NT should be a non-glamor position.

I'm a happy NT owner, in the sense that my NT plays for my own team and I can't wait until he's matured enough to max out D-Line General and start making our other three pass rushers into mini-gods. But if that NT was my only player, I'd probably be a bit frustrated at his statistical performance. Of all the X-General positions (QB, OC, NT, and MLB) the NT has to be the most selfless... even the OC gets to savor some warm pancakes every game.
