I know I messed up with the SAs too early, but what should I build on here? I'm thinking to go mostly run-block and leave pass rush to DE's.

Stamina to 25, Strength to soft cap, then agility to the soft cap while training vision/tackling. That should help. You're only lv 2 so don't worry about correcting it, you shouldn't have trouble. Just don't touch your SA's until like lv 20 ish. You may want to retire him though and see if you can get all your SP back and start another DT. Also, you want to decide if he's going to be an NT or just a DT. If he's a DT once you get strength capped you may want to work on speed. If he's an NT then pump strength way up.

I don't really want to retire, because I'm on a player team, and by the time I can be cut, it's already like 10 days in, and I hate wasting that time, even if it isn't much.

What is soft cap?

And what's the difference between NT and DT?

NT is a the DT that anchors the line and generally gets doubled team by the C and a G. Normally, you want the NT to have a lot of strength to not get pushed back and destroyed by that double team. DT's usually get to go 1v1 with a G, so you can try beating him with a more "Elusive" build to get to the QB. The soft cap is 48 for every attribute, meaning that it takes 1 SP to raise that attribute by 1 until 48. After 48, it costs 2 SP to raise the attribute by 1 until you get it to 60, where it becomes 3, and so on. The trick to maximizing your SP and attribute gain is to soft-cap and attribute ASAP. That way, when you gain your automatic attribute bonuses from lvling up, you get more out of it since it's boosting an attribute that would normally take 2 SP to raise versus and attribute that would only take 1 SP to raise. It's kind of complex and I did a crappy job of explaining it but I hope it made it a little clearer.

Oh, I get it. Thank you.

So I should focus on strength solely for now?

I would get your stamina to the mid 20's first, that way you can get more plays per game which would net you more xp. Then it depends how you want to build your player. If you want to slow build then yes, focus all on strength for now. However, the problem with slow building is that your player is basically terribly ineffective for the first season or 2.

What's the other option?

youre only a level 2. you got nothing to worry about right now. If you are looking to be a run stuffer, just focus on strength, agility, vision, tackling. dont worry too much about the SA's until about lvl. 14. Just get strength up to soft cap and put your equipment in that. then focus on the others.
