Go Intense for Vision with whatever else you are lacking.

Jumping is good for a DE

I'd probably train vision/agility, even if your agility is already high. I'm not convinced jumping is useful at all.

I was just coming to this forum right now to consult the oracle and I find you'd posted in my thread. I considered training confidence but I believe you've said that hasn't been useful for you either.

Maybe, I should just train normal since all I need to train is vision...

I have never trained confidence or jumping, so I can't really tell you exactly how useful they are. Training vision on normal could be an option. I haven't really done the math on the difference between the 2, just been taking everyone's word for it that intense is better.

Jumping helps with pass deflections and diving tackles

I guess I was wondering if training jumping would let me tackle the QB from a little farther away when he is back pedaling.

Jumping lets you hurdle OLineman. I have jumping around 25 or so and in the early seasons it actually gave me pass deflections but not anymore so now it's useless, from what I've seen.

I was kidding man, haha. Oh but the deflections part is true, I added some points to jumping in like season 2 or so and the next couple games I started getting PD's so obvious correlation. Not at all anymore though, shoot I'm lucky to get a freakin tackle now.

The reason I like jumping is because it increases the range at which you can tackle. I have seen a few replays of DT's getting sacks from around guards supposedly because of jumping.
