After resisting trading up to USA A so that we could move up by winning the league, I'd be pissed if Bort just bumped us out of here.

Nike-Joe, I'd trade places if I could, so long as we got to keep the trophy. I like the A8, but its definitely not the same.
I'd definitely prefer to either keep things more like they are, or have some control over our schedule. Given my choice, I'd take the more competitive (i.e. most of the non-gutjobs) from here and make a consistent league out of it to maintain the rivalries and all.

Yeah. Most of our good rivals are in USA A now. And 1-2 seasons more and that will be fine. I like the gradual change that comes from promotion and demotion. I'm all for cleaning out the gut jobs though every season. Like, if you are 75% below the average for your league, you get dropped. That would be OK. But if you are 75% above, and you didn't cheat to get there, you should be allowed to just win your league and move up.

Personally, I just think they need to make a "Gut League". Drop all the teams that are rebuilding down there and replace them with teams that have requested a league swap. That would solve a lot of problems.

They would just need to come out and say "Ok guys, if you feel that you're team is way above or below the level of competition in your league, send in a request for a league swap. We'll assign you to a new league.". But, I think they should only allow teams to do it like once every 3 seasons or something.

Not a bad idea. I think that it should be automatic though. I mean what I am going through with this new team is nothing short of HORSESHIT...I know that being a team owner is supposed to be a lot of work, but this is still a game, and should have at least some element of fun...On top of that if Support reaction time is any indicator of what it would take to request a league change, god help us. I've sent two (one a day) trouble tickets about why the gutted team I inherited received no chemistry grace period. That turned into a bitch session, but the bottom line is it should be automatic.

I don't know if you've seen any of the poles recently, but when I voted today it was heavily in favor of "changing up the leagues and I don't care where I land". You figure the majority of teams in GLB are not in either Pro or USA so this would be their chance to get to one of those areas.

If they do make changes, I would say this is our last season together for sure. I think if they make the change it might be a quick fix, but it won't stop the gutting problem at all. It will help for a season or two, maybe three, but it will be right back to the same thing it is now.

Of course those other guys don't care where they play. Their leagues suck.

I say if they bust us up, we need to make ourselves a private board and a schedule of friendlies.

+1 This league is by far the best I have ever had a player in. The competition is always tough, no matter what the standings say. The group of owners/gm's has to be one of the most talented in all of GLB. It will be a sad day, but I think it will prob. happen.

I really hope they don't break up the leagues. HB of mine is on a new team in a new league that is very competitive. Lots of well put together teams there. I also don't like promotions. Relegations are fine because they take the gutted teams out, but promoting often times takes away the most active people of the league and replaces them with the gutted teams from above so the competition gets stagnant.

I wonder if any other leagues are crying about being separated from the teams they play against?

I think this is crap....again something that was working..well lets screw it up..forget what is broke...

Dumb idea, it merely fixes the problem for a season. It doesn't address the actual issue.

hi im kinda new to this league but i will be very sad if i get moved to another league. i have had some of the best forum reads because of some of the stuff this league has produced and i hope it never dies.
