I moved a speed LB over to LOLB and put a higher speed higher strength corner over to CB2, and my best DE to LDE. I don't know if that's going to fix it.

I'm getting killed by this play.

There's not much you can do to stop that single play out of the normal I formation. There are too many plays and too much variety out of that formation to overload too much. If you overcompensate for that play, you'll get burnt on another one.


You can definitely shift strong side, it may help. Cover 1 will get your SS in position to make a play. I would say try 3-3 Nickel, but I believe the 3rd corner will come in on the other side, which doesn't really help, and running a dime is out of the question due to the inside runs that come from that formation.

If you absolutely must stop it, stack a LB or the FS at the corner and blitz the corner.

But yeah, that weak side shift is not helping you one bit.
