Wondering if I should go with a full speed set, full agility set, or split of both

Put it in mostly speed. Something like +3 speed, +1 agility for each piece. I just re-did mine like this and it made him back a lot more elusive.

I've seen it done both ways. If you look at Walter Sanders, he's like 91 speed and 54 agility or something. He's very successful with that.

I've also seen a back with almost exclusively agility. Agility up to 85, speed in high 50s and 9 in Juke. That seemed to work, but less often.

I personally go for speed. Even if you juke one player per rush, you'll never get the edge on a DB for the bigger gains. Plus, speed gets you to that 2nd level so fast, you end up with a better average IMO.

I'll just play around with each and see which one works best I guess. Try both extremes and combinations of each.

Well lets just put it this way.

I used to have my HB with 60ish speed, 75ish agility, and he was okay.

Now my back has around 80 speed, and agility near 60, and he runs a lot better.

Ah...I'll try that distribution first then. I've seen that having about 60 agility is enough for reaching top speed. The extra agility is there for increased activation of specials

Yeah that is true. Your WR will pull off more jukes with higher agility. For my back though, I just decided to make him as fast as possible, so he can break into that 2nd line of defense before the linebackers can really react, and still get an avg of 5+ yds consistently. So he either runs really fast into a defender for a good gain, or breaks through for along run (that hasn't happened yet, but we played a team who stacks the box).

I noticed the jukes and head fakes or whatever weren't really as effective as just plain speed. My back has a lot of speed/quick cut.

Which one of your RBs are you referring to?

I'm noticing that about Agility/HeadFake/Juke as well.. In fact, I'm not sure if Head Fake even works anymore.

I had over 60 Agility with my RB, 7 in Headfake - and still haven't seen him freeze anyone.

So I moved some of my Agility Equipment into Speed, so I will see how he does with that.

It really pisses me off, that certain Special Abilities don't even seem to work anymore. If over 60 Agility and 7 Head Fake doesn't work, I hate to see what it would take to make Juke work.

Its ridiculous.

In Season 2/3 Head Fake was downright dominant. Now it barely works at all.

Every time something works well, Bort changes it.

Speed too effective? Tune it down.
Power too effective? Tune it down.
Head Fake? Tune it down.
Super Vision? Tune it down.
Pump Fake? Tune it down.

He turns everything down.. It really is getting to be too much of a hassle to even play this game anymore. Everything changes every season, its too expensive to keep up.

Indiana Pwns is my elusive back. To be fair, I don't have a lot of points in head fake, and have a moderate amount of points in juke, so he never used to do it anyways.

But check out his game today versus our first scrimmage, before I switched my equipment around.

Juke is fine. I agree head fake is quite worthless though.

I agree. Great name btw; Bukowski rules!

I understand that Bort wants to level the game out so people don't take advantage of one parameter being out of whack, but it stinks as a player when you seem to find a build that is successful, only to have the parameters you've built up be nerfed in the next season. The way this is going, it's almost the smart thing to just have all SA's and all skills be equal.

Thanks for noticing the name, very few have noticed the reference.

But yeah, it does seem like that.

I guess we will just put every single attribute, on every single player at 48. That would be a lot of fun, wouldn't it?

We are customers of this company. We are not happy with the product. Once we get used to the new product, they switch is around. We buy more flex points. They switch is around again. Buy more flex points. Adjust the SIM. Buy more flex points. Adjust the SIM.

Its painfully redundant, with no obvious solution in sight.

remember it's still in beta phase...and you dont want everyone to just go straight speed at rb..and straight strenght at dt...it will work out! i actually like it because it' becoming more resistant!

I hope you were joking..


If you log out and click home you'll see that it is a beta game. Game's don't come out great initially. That's why there's a feel out phase so that Bort knows what's good and what's bad to improve the game.
