What have you seen, and what are your opinions on it?

Seen so far;

+1 First Step SA-Some value I guess
+2% Hold Block Chance-Useful for a WR on a run block team I guess.

I bought a Catch ball chance +2%. It's not the best, but it was the best out of the ones it presented me. Not worth taking my equipment off of speed though.

so far, i've bought a 'Superior Blue Cleats +2 Jumping w/ Not Fumbling Chance +3%' and a 'Superior White Doo Rag, Break Tackle Chance +3%' on my WR. i got a 'Superior Black Visor, +1 Sticky Hands SA' on my CB..

aren't these additional items you can equip, rather than unequipping, say visor that gives your +4 to speed? I think thats how it is..

The best I have found is:

Superior Orange Visor
+1 Stamina
Catch ball chance +5% $50900


Seems to be a pretty solid piece of equipment for my level 27 WR.

I was wrong. What is the sense of these anyway then. Who will give up +4 speed to get +1 stamina and a 5% boost in catching?

I will probably buy the piece because to be honest I don't really know what makes our players catch. Catching is a mystery to me and if an item says +5% chance to actually catching the ball I'm going to go for it.

I've also heard at some point we will be able to own a complete set of Advanced equipment that will yield us greater returns. We'll see.

Once you start upgrading them with bonus tokens, they will start to be pretty useful.

I got thinking a earlier. I'm not sure if this +5% fake chance is applicable to players who need to run with the ball - it might be for QBs - it could be for both.

Damn didn't know there were 5%-ers.

Bort has said its an extra 5% chance to "fake someone out" so I guess that covers all fakes.

Would be interesting to own four pieces that each give a 5% chance to fake or catch ball. From what I've gathered the pieces can stack giving our players a 20% chance of the effect actually working which would be pretty significant.

Stacking is interesting except you could never earn enough tokens to upgrade your equipment so you would be giving away the top end of your primary stat...

That is a very good point. A lot will depend of whether or not Bort adjusts how we upgrade Advanced equipment. It's still a fairly new idea and perhaps there is some hope.

The question is what exactly does the 5% chance of catching the ball really effect? Does it give a boost to just the Catching ability or does it help every skill related to being able to catch a ball such as Jumping, Confidence, Vision, and whatever else is included? If it effects everything at once it might be more valuable than what our primary skill currently gives us now with our original equipment. Even if it takes a long time to upgrade.
